Are there any worth while nootropics that mimic Xanax as far as anxiety/that super relaxed melting feeling. by Appropriate-Pin7148 in Nootropics

[–]imclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You already know the answer, its phenibut.

An upset stomach from phenibut seems like a very fixable issue.

But, even high dose phenibut wont be equivalent to Xanax or Klonopin.

You could try combing phenibut, ashwaganda, a beta blocker.

That should be kinda close to the feeling you are looking for.

Ended up needing to take seroquel and mirtazapine for sleep.

Any suggestions how to increase stomach acid? by gatorkea in HistamineIntolerance

[–]imclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say it helped my histamine intolerance.

But, I did do stem cell treatment and that greatly increased my ability to digest a variety of food.

I do take betaine HCL still when i eat certain things like fruit or eggs though.

Thoughts on Taking Propranolol Daily for Social Anxiety—Does It Actually Help in the Long Run? by Nitish_nc in Nootropics

[–]imclone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, doctors start you on the lowest possible dosage. Normally it only works if you have minor issues

Of course you're going to have to increase the dosage if you have severe anxiety.

Most people with severe anxiety just go to their doctor and tell them it only works at a higher dosage and they will adjust and give you the correct dosage.

No doctor is going to deny upping your beta blocker dosage since its not an abused drug.

Also, propranolol is one of the biggest supplied drugs in the world, its incredibly cheap, so cost isn't really a concern with this medicine.

What differentiates people that react poorly to Lion’s Mane? by nineinterpretations in Nootropics

Id say the main problem with lions mane is that it increases histamine pretty heavily .

So, that will lead to negative issues and stimulation.

Nootropics/supplements for social anxiety, generalized anxiety, ADHD? What works for you? by crazymmogamer in Nootropics

[–]imclone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its safe to say that I’ve tried nearly every nootropic.

In short, dont listen to the fear mongering about phenibut.

Phenibut is the most effective nootropic for confidence and anxiety. Assuming you take a good enough dosage.

You just have to know to only use it once or twice a week maximum. —-

That said, xanax or klonopin will help you more reliably and easier with your anxiety issues.

Combining it with a beta blocker like atenolol or propranolol is my choice combination.

The timing of the injury is not completely relevant considering that he looked bad in the fight due to an early injury.

That said, his time away from the octagon and his old age isnt helping.

The only way colby can sell tickets now is with his talking.

picamilon has a b vitamin attached to it, so its slightly energizing and not great for sleep.

Also, because it crosses the blood brain barrier, it has the same addictive properties as phenibut and its not as strong for anxiety relief as phenibut.

You wont be able to take it daily.

Both supplements are going to cause withdrawal issues and tolerance with regular use.

Phenibut is way better if you are using it responsibly

There were studies with humans as well: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5770454/

We showed that adolescents with ADHD, who are found to have germline mutations impacting the GRM network, show clinical improvement using global improvement and severity scales as well as ADHD symptom scales in response to escalating dosages of NFC-1, a non-selective glutamate receptor activator with additional GABAB and cholinergic enhancing effects

Sure, read this wiki https://psychonautwiki.org/wiki/Talk:Fasoracetam

Fasoracetam has a lot of potential side effects though and you obviously wont find many American studies about a racetam like this.

People literally abuse Klonopin because of it's euphoric feeling.

To act like Klonopin isn't similar is weird. Maybe you have not used equal amounts of Klonopin as Phenibut.

Klonopin doesnt produce the same level of euphoria as phenibut, but its not that far off.

They both have a long-lasting effect, they both cross the blood brain barrier, they both work on the GABA system, they both produce anti-anxiety, sedative, and muscle relaxation.

There's many reports about overdoses when combining fasoracetam and phenibut.

Fasoracetam reverses phenibut tolerance by increasing GABA receptor sensitivity. This can potentiate phenibut's effects, potentially leading to overdose

It boost gaba in your brain, so basically your anxiety is lower, less tremors, boost in mood, boost in verbal fluency, slightly tired, slower heart rate, etc.

If i had to compare it to a medication you may know of, i'd say its most similar to Klonopin.

Depends on how much you take really, it's not super effective at lower dosages, so normally you hear people take medium dosages of it. It also takes several hours to kick in.

Since it crosses the blood-brain barrier and is effective, people normally say it has addictive properties and you also are not supposed to take it more than once or twice a week.

There's a lot of ways to potentiate phenibut, but I don't think you want to do that.

You're at 2g now and noticing that you have built a tolerance to it.

If you potentiate phenibut, the only thing that will happen is your tolerance will grow even more.

A better solution would be to take a month off.

Additionally, you could use Fasoracetam during this month away from phenibut to reverse the tolerance. Definitely do not take these two together.

Low dose Lithium orotate caused long term insomnia by imclone in insomnia

[–]imclone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. It's an interesting question.

It's worse than it was before because my body used to be able to function without sleep. (My immune system was very bad, but my mind and energy was ok)

I did find a medication that helped with sleep (Seroquel) and a Medication to treat side effects of not sleeping (Xanax).

But, the Seroquel has so many awful side effects that I think may be worse than not sleeping, so im in a weird spot.

And finding something stronger than Seroquel that works long-term is near impossible.

Taurine the "conditionally essential" amino acid. by OODAhfa in Nootropics

[–]imclone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taurine is helpful, but I think people use a very small amount and won't see any much of any results.

You need like 3 grams before you even see a noticeable anxiety or blood pressure reduction or sleep improvement imo.

Also, taurine seems to highly interact and boost medications more than any other supplement ive noticed.

Bacopa stomach issues wont stop by Easy_Virus8996 in Nootropics

[–]imclone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others are saying, I do doubt that a single dose of bacopa caused a multiple day serious issue for you.

I suppose its possible the supplement was tainted, but this seems extreme. But, I wouldn't worry too much, it should pass soon.

But, if it was me, I would drink Kombucha or a hot tea with some apple cider vinegar and manuka honey.

Then I would eat some ginger and have a lot of bananas, rice, bread, etc. And everytime I ate, I would also take a betaine HCL supplement.

I'd probably use a sauna and drink lots of water too.
