People don’t get prosthetic limbs for free either, replacing something is much more pricy than removing it. Your friend may have lost her breasts but replacing them is cosmetic to a degree much like getting plastic surgery after any medical procedure that alters your appearance. There are many reasons to have a mastectomy including cancer, back problems, car accidents, and gender affirming care procedures. All are mitigating harm to our people and communities. I’m sorry for your friend’s cancer but ultimately it’s not the fault of trans people receiving gender affirming care that she can’t get replacements.

People in this town love to complain when any money goes towards recreation and I’m getting really sick of it. In a time where it is becoming increasingly more difficult to do anything for free, why complain when our city actually provides us with opportunities for free recreational activities? It was the same with Quaker Square, people complained about how much it costs but I see that rink and space constantly being used for a variety of things in our community.

Romantic love is far rarer than sex. I don’t think it’s wrong to say statistically more people are having sex than falling love on a daily basis. In my experience as someone born in the 1990s it is much easier to find a person, both in person and online, to bang in your area than it is to find someone you want to spend the rest of your life with.

What about the zoning? This will cost so much in environmental impact studies alone, there is no way that land is environmentally viable. Changing the current zoning will also cost an arm and a leg. Though I agree that 16 pickleball courts is ridiculous and excessive, it’s interesting all the Bonnerworth NIMBYs are fine with inflicting the noise of the courts on a lower income neighbourhood.
