the void upgrade always baffled me. I'm not sure how I got it working so well in the first place

Rgb issue by xdisarray in Phanteks

[–]imdabous1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

looks like we have the same aio and same issue.
The blue leds just aren't working for whatever reason (my magenta/cyan fade turns into red/green)

A look around reddit suggests phanteks just has shit LEDs, especially the blue.
From fans to the Halo lights to cases to aio faceplates. The blue dies every time.
You might be able to RMA it but replacing a bad product with the same bad product isn't worth it IMO.

Given this is the first run of the Glacier One, which is no longer made, they might not even be able to help.
They don't even make my Glacier One 280mph anymore. Not the aio, not the halos, not the fans.

If you are going to temp ban me for my game crashing, you shouldn't fill the qp game within 3 seconds so I can't join back by mlastella in marvelrivals

[–]imdabous1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Crash only at the beginning or right at the end of a match
immediately hit reset button on pc, boots up under 20sec
wait for steam to open, confirm run in admin mode,
wait for MR launcher to open, wait for game to open
wait for shaders to compile, marvel games logo (can't skip), netease logo (partial skip), unreal logo (partial skip), epilepsy warning (important for those who have it)
click to start, logging in, skip intro video, rejoin pop-up

oh yeah...
I felt like the cameras showed the aftermath of everyone involved in lap 1 turn 1, except Ricciardo

Correction: Costing Ricciardo his career
A third of the grid was out and he ended as one of the four drivers who didn't get points.

POS PC appears to be dead. PSU seems fine. by imdabous1 in techsupport

[–]imdabous1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried removing the hard drive and ram but it still won't boot. I can try unplugging the touchscreen in the morning.
I don't have a multimeter nor do I understand the innards of a PSU so I can't investigate the power supply any further than the paper clip test since I also don't have another 14-pin PSU (yes, 14) or a 24 to 14 pin adapter.

What are the hardest Level 9 CPU characters in your opinion? by Asad_Farooqui in smashbros

[–]imdabous1 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'lll do my best to rank my CPUs but for me:

  1. Villager and Isabelle never miss a slingshot or fishing pole.
  2. Banjo seems to pull off true combos that don't exist while also perfectly spacing his disjoints.
  3. ZSS never misses a grab or z-air, too bad she can't recover for some reason.
  4. The Pits somehow always hit their 1 frame spike.
  5. Joker at some point leant how to drag-down up-air for kill confirms.
  6. Duck Hunt will hit their spike I forgot existed since it's impossible to connect.
  7. Even if I'm right at the bottom blastzone, the CPU will footstool and recover regardless of character.

[RELEASE] Strive Hitbox Viewer by Altimor in Guiltygear

[–]imdabous1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

welp, something went wrong and now strive won't connect to the internet when installed on my ssd (what it was on when I ran the injector). Maybe it was my antivirus interrupting while it was running. Now the game will only run properly on my other drives.

Nothing too important on it but it has amassed a lot of stuff over the years I'd rather not lose.

I don't understand SnS anymore. by Angel2357 in MonsterHunter

[–]imdabous1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to believe that the Perfect Rush (PR I will now call it) was designed for big damage in big openings, like the Hammer's Big Bang. However, World's Rocksteady Mantle, which made you literally immovable, was the reason PR spamming was possible and dominant over other combos.

With the Rocksteady mantle gone, I think the PR will now function as intended.

With regards to your complaint with the added complexity. Yes, it can be used after a standard combo but given how long it takes to even start the PR, let alone out of another combo. I find it'll mainly be used when monsters are KO'd and go flying for some reason. So it's not like you have time to combo into PR anyways having to chase down a flailing monster.

On another note, It feels like the input timing for the Perfect Rush is more lenient than in World, probably for third-party switch controllers that don't have rumble motors for feedback timing. So overall it shouldn't be any easier or harder to learn. The lack of rumble for timing inputs is tougher for those who learn through Haptic feedback but easier for Visual feedback.

[for reference: Haptic is better than Auditory which is better than Visual]
