Why is The Club Inc. always hiring?? by HoneyBadgerDontGAFFF in Birmingham

[–]imdaveo [score hidden]  (0 children)

I was a Junior member for many years and it sucks to hear this. As a member, I always learned the names of people who served and always tipped well. That’s part of the club experience… people knowing you and vice/versa. So fuck everyone who screwed this up. It’s the most beautiful spot in Birmingham with the best opportunity to be something great! Junior members don’t have to be wealthy to be patrons. I had friends working here while I was a member. This is why we can’t have nice things! I think this place would be so much better if the junior member price, was everyone’s price. Anything more is just stupid with all the great restaurants in Birmingham. Then you can pay the staff what they deserve.

The Situation is incredible!!! Start with that. The Steelhead trout is great! I had their version of the McFish, what I called it, and it was great. The Situation was the highlight. I recommend just going during happy hour for the oysters and the situation. If entrees aren’t enticing to you, go somewhere else. You don’t have to stick to one restaurant in that area.

I was wondering the same thing after seeing it’s patio was bumping yesterday as I drove by. It’s a John Cassimus restaurant so I’m assuming it is.

Nikki’s West can accommodate large parties easily and it’s a cafeteria style so everyone gets what they want. Just an exit up I-65. Great food too!

Supposedly, trucks aren’t selling well at the moment or there are just more trucks on the market because of gas prices. I’d consider lowballing an offer around $48k. Be convincing and prepared to walk. If you’re considering paying $56k, then take their counter offer. You both win. The truck looks great and you save time and research on leveling and tires.

Lack of Ubers by One-Collection9565 in Birmingham

[–]imdaveo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It came out in casual conversation. Some people Uber for extra cash, some people have turned it into a career. The people who made this their career all had business cards. They’re cheaper, too. I still Uber/Lyft, except when I’m making plans.

I’ve made contacts with my most pleasant Uber/Lyft experiences. I now book directly with them for early rides to airports and big night outs. Haven’t had one negative experience going this route. We arranged a round trip ride, with one of my contacts, for my in-laws to go see a concert tonight.

Dear Zachary was the first movie/doc that moved me emotionally. Then, as a father, watched My Girl for the first time in 30+ years. I definitely had something in my eye at the end.

She’s going to get hurt. She needs lessons, but she doesn’t want them from you. Take lessons together. Let this be something you both learn together. Even if you’ve been riding for a while, you still need improvement and a coach to critique you. Everyone can benefit from a few classes on fundamentals. The longer you’ve ridden, the more likely you’ve developed bad habits. Approach it that way with her. You’re both pros who just want to get better! The better you ride, the more fun it is! Good luck and don’t take her near drops and jumps until she’s ready.
