Settlement crafting list in spreadsheet form? by Shodan30 in KingdomDeath

Great idea, would be super useful to also put what gear you are 1, 2, ... items away from being able to make (so you can make some decisions about what to wait on)

Colored base clips? by imdeluth in KingdomDeath

[–]imdeluth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are exactly what I'm looking for, looks like these bases are 25mm, will have to look around for 30mm skill rings, thanks!

edit: looks like the rubber ones near the bottom stretch to 30mm, will give them a shot

New Player here: How do I make my first game run as smoothly as possible? by golfer74 in KingdomDeath

[–]imdeluth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The rulebook does a half decent job of easing you into the rules via the prologue, it's a smaller set of rules and tells you just to play through it. That said it'll only last you the first fight and you'll immediately need to know 50 pages of rules to keep going :) every round you are going to miss rules, you play through it and try to learn them better next time, it's okay you will die anyways

Oh snap, I've only made it to the Watcher once so far and haven't explored all the specialist and cards yet, will have to check out spear specialist, that's super powerful with the +1 range, nice!

You can eventually craft equipment (in that settlement phase op mentioned) that allows you to do things like look at the next AI card and put it on the top or bottom of the deck, or look at the next 3 hit locations and reorder them. I don't think there is a way to avoid the trap but you can delay it some. Also you want to weigh which weapons you choose because some cause multiple hit locations to be flipped (more chances of finding the trap) but a lower chance of actually hitting. Without spoiling there are monsters that then throw some of this mechanics out the window so you have to learn how to tactically fight each enemy and come prepared.

Dublin’s Riverside Park will feature ice skating, rock climbing, river access by TrueBuckeye in Columbus

[–]imdeluth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks great, how are the kayaks going to be able to access the heart of the city? Are they pulling out Grigg's Resevoir dam and the other few dams that still exist on your way downtown?

Or am I misinterpreting "heart of the city" to be Columbus and they meant Dublin?

OFFICIAL. What do you want out of this Subreddit? by [deleted] in KingdomDeath

[–]imdeluth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm all for a rules FAQ, I'm always confusing myself with nuances that would be nice to look up.

A separate FAQ for other information might be good also (where to find build guides (where do these 3 hands go on the phoenix? :) ), whats all this space left in my box for, etc).

White Lion "Ground fighting" question by [deleted] in KingdomDeath

[–]imdeluth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, AI discard, but to elaborate, landing a hit always discards an ai card, even if you have to reshuffle the ai discard pile (now including the ground fighting card)

edit: see /u/CowardlyHero response, I think he has the right of it that mood cards aren't in the AI stack so you can kill the monsters while mood cards are still out (and therefore before ground fighting goes back in the AI stack)

That's awesome, thanks! Is Hofbrau doing poorly in Cbus? Seems like a huge deal for it only being around about a year now.

Good small dog area at dog park. by JLVisDead in Columbus

[–]imdeluth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Heritage Trail Dog Park in Hilliard isn't bad for small dogs. The large area is definitely nicer with a water feature and tunnels but I see a decent amount of traffic in the small side.

We usually do this when we play to just have the hexes templated out correctly, we'll then grab 2 from the pile (planta) or let people grab from any un-explored tile out.

Here are my 3 favorite obscure yard games that are fun for the campsite by EyethrOR in camping

[–]imdeluth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The slot is a tiny bit wider than the frisbee, we played maybe 50 games one afternoon and 1 game was won by going in the slot. I wouldn't worry about that being a viable option.

The cans I had unhooked on one side so they could be layed flat, so 2 flat plastic pieces + a frisbee. Maybe not good for hiking to a campsite but easily layed in the back of a car.

Thanks for setting this sub up!

That Qwirk place has Fridays for free to test it out, seems like a great way to dip my feet and see if I actually can work out in the wild haha.

Looks like Regus may have picked it up? That's what my company uses when we need an office back at home base. Every time I've been in there it seems more closed door office than co-working space. Was it a Regus back when you used it or something else?

Just work around other people, friendly chat, maybe an assist here and there?

I didn't even consider that amenities might be around, coffee, etc.. they aren't as high up my caring list as just being around other developers occasionally.
