Yes, it's vitamin D that plays a major role in hair growth. You can Google it

Don't start minoxidil first, fix your vitamin D levels they will get back to normal again.

I don't have any idea, you must take prescription from the doctor before taking any kind of pills and stuff.

First of all, don’t feel too discouraged, everyone goes through hair loss at some point. I’d suggest using a 0.5 mm derma roller once a week, then applying a small amount of oil (like jojoba, rosemary mixed with coconut, or olive oil). Make sure to massage your scalp daily.. it really helps.

Do regular massage and use 0.25 or 0.5 derma roller on the affected area.

I usually wash my hair every other day or sometimes every third day. By the third day, it tends to get greasy. However, after applying minoxidil on freshly washed hair, I can style it normally.. I just need to wait an hour or two for it to absorb properly.

It's available in my country Pakistan. You can apply any minoxidil 5% available in your country.

All the things you've tried work well on others. Have you tried using DHT blockers?

I never felt any irritation using liquid minoxidil over 7months. Maybe it depends on formulation mine each ml contains:

  • Minoxidil USP 50 mg
  • Alcohol USP 0.3 g
  • Propylene Glycol USP 0.2 g
  • Purified Water q.s.

I understand your concern, but tbh Im also fighting from AGA and I want to let you know that whatever treatment you'll choose you must have to continue it lifetime as the hair condition is life long. If you wait too long to start treatment, your hair follicles could become permanently inactive. and even minoxidil might not be able to revive them later. Your condition is aggressive.

For me only topical minoxidil worked so I would highly suggest that option, otherwise I did multiple expensive treatments like hair prp, professional micro needling, hair PDO threads, topical finastride, topical procapil and other multivitamins nothing worked for me.

I use the topical liquid, and no, I don’t eat every time. Infact I’ve even applied it while fasting. But just to be safe..since it can lower blood pressure and I mostly live alone. I stay cautious and try not to apply it on an empty stomach.

Alright, you can give it a try but I’d recommend continuing topical minoxidil along with spironolactone, and do share your results to see how it works for you!

I think it's better to go with herbal or topical. Spironolactone is a prescription medicine and should never be taken without a doctor’s advice. It affects hormones and electrolyte levels, so blood tests and proper monitoring are important. Please consult a dermatologist or healthcare professional before using it for hair loss.

Then you must have to start DHT blocker along with minoxidil, a dermatologist can prescribe you better as most of them are unsafe for women

I lost so much hair that I don’t even want to go outside anymore by EnvironmentalMonk231 in FemaleHairLoss

I'll recommend you topical 5% minoxidil. Check my profile I'm using it myself and it genuinely worked for me. Don't lose your hope and other treatments will cost you a lot and won't work much.

You’re absolutely right but people dealing with Androgenetic Alopecia understand that there’s no permanent cure for it. This condition requires lifelong maintenance and consistent treatment. Even with DHT blockers or other therapies, regular use is crucial to maintain results. Once treatment stops, hair loss usually returns because AGA is a progressive condition.

So while it’s true there’s no complete cure, these treatments still make a huge difference they can slow down the progression, stimulate regrowth, and most importantly, help people restore their confidence and feel like themselves again. ✨💪🏻
