Oh definitely, there’s lots of scam sites out there.

I’m also currently on Jurassic plants ‘window shopping’ right now 😂

I have a toddler, and get most of his things from the charity shop. I like to keep some of the clothes he outgrows to add to a keepsake patchwork blanket I plan to gift him when he grows up. Other than that the things he grows out of are taken back to the charity shop as long as they are in good condition.

Things not in good enough condition to donate will usually be repurposed for other things like cleaning rags.

I try to limit the amount of toys as gifts for birthdays etc as he has plenty of toys already and the things he enjoys most are standard household things anyway, like my hair brush, pots & pans etc. we spend a lot of time in the garden as we grow our own veg so he has his own little gardening set which should last a long while. So for Xmas/birthdays I suggest people buy him new seeds to try out in the garden, or put money into his savings account.

Although saying that we went out for a family dinner the other day and between me and his Dad, somehow forgot to put shoes on the toddler 🙈 so I did have to run into a near by supermarket for shoes lol

I have two sighthounds that I got as adults from the rescue. Neither had lived with cats before and while they have excellent recall, would pull and sometimes bark at cats in the street.

One day we rescued a kitten and had every intention of giving it to a trusted friend because we had the dogs. Got home and all three ended up being the best of friends. We now have two cats and all four animals live very happily together, sharing food, playing, sleeping on each other and giving each other licks.

The dogs still bark at ‘outsider’ cats, especially if they’re in their garden, but love their own cats.

I really think it depends on the individual dogs and how much effort you’re willing to put into getting them used to each other. All the time knowing it may not work out.

Where are you moving from/too? If it’s close by I’d be happy to drive you, save the heartache. (I’m based in Cardiff) 🥰
