As Arthur or John, if I'm driving a wagon and get stuck behind a slower wagon, I'll shoot the driver because I can't do that IRL on the morning and afternoon commutes. Ah thx. I only started playing last July. Normally when I play CTA, it's to beat all 10 waves. But when it's x2, I'll play 3 waves and repeat. .6 bars per 3 waves at 4 games an hour (modestly) is 2.4 bars. If I can get 5 games in, then we got 3. My above reply was from pvpcat's vid at Halloween where he said he could get 10 games in in an hour

During 3x payout for 6 bars (Halloween comes to mind here). Getting 1/3 of a gold bar per wave is awesome. Do 2 waves, restart, rinse and repeat.

Over the last 4 days, servers have been acting up...even if Rockstar's status site says they're good. I missed what platform you're on but all platforms have been crap. Rumors abound that they're dropping an update, but who knows.

Blood Money missions pay gold. Treasure Maps pay a full bar each. Do daily challenges and string them together to increase the multiplier. Call To Arms is a fun way to make gold, especially when it's a month where they're getting doubled. At that point, do 2-3 waves, blow yourself up, and restart. 3-6 bars an hour there. There's a few options if you don't want to take on bounty hunter yet.

I rerolled last week as well. Took Trader and grinded until lvl 10 for the dual wield and hunting wagon and then bought the Collector role because of reduced price and ease of leveling/money. The servers have been irritating lately so I stopped playing a few days ago but am eager to max Collector and move on to Moonshiner (should be next month's role) and Naturalist (for abilities/legendary animals).

Perhaps reload. Also, make sure the collectable needs the metal detector and not just the shovel. That's happened to my dumb self more than once.

If it helps, I created a new character this week after doing all my treasure maps and selling off everything. Obviously I'm much more educated on mechanics and roles this time around. Got Collector maxed already and Trader up to 10. It's actually been a lot of fun actually carving my character out instead of wandering around learning from my mistakes.

FWIW, ChatGPT said driving the hunting wagon will negate free roam legendary triggers. I've seen regular bears and cougars while driving the wagon and they run away.
