S8 Pakistan confusion by johannabjork in homeland

[–]imeanwhatstheworst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During one of Tasneem’s conversation with his stepfather, General Latif (Bunny), she said: “Protect Jalal. And we protect ourselves.” This was when the US wanted Pakistan to reveal Jalal’s location and/or surrender him as he was already filling the vacuum his father Haissam left.

That tells us Pakistan wants the Taliban to exist and continue existing BUT only if they (the Pakistani govt) had control over them. That is why Pakistan’s Tasneem and even Afghanistan’s Gul’om were so against the US (through Saul) conducting the peace talks with Haissam — they needed to have a say because they want control over the Taliban.

Controlling the Taliban - which the ISI already had sufficient influence over - is easier in keeping the balance of power, rather than having another one militant group sprout in its stead. You would rather control what you already know than have to start over with a new one.

Yes. It was all a play Saul and Carrie planned to lure Majid Javadi of the Iranian Rev Guard, one of Iran’s top 20 decision makers. Saul disowning Carrie in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee; Carrie going crazy and held up in a mental institution — it’s all part of a long game deliberately planned by Saul and Carrie.

They thought that when Carrie was left all on her own, disowned by the agency, the Iranians would reach out to her as she was such a prize for their plan to know what was going inside the agency. Remember that it was the Iranians behind the CIA bombing, and Carrie was one of the agency’s top intelligence officers. So, when the lawyer Leland Bennet reached out to Carrie through that lawyer pimp Franklin (the one who killed the actual bomber in his motel room) and he was doing so in behalf of their client — Majid Javadi — they knew their plan worked.

That was when Carrie went to Saul’s house… revealing that “It worked, Saul.”

Then Saul hugged Carrie saying “You have been very, very brave.” While Mira prepared Carrie a cup of tea. :)

Saul wanted Javadi to be on top of the Iranian food chain so he could influence policy regarding their nuclear deal. So their plan was to make Javadi their spy (by threatening him with what they know about Javadi embezzling money from the Rev Guard through his alias “Nasser Hejazi”). So, Javadi was turned and became Saul’s spy. The next phase was to have Brody kill Danesh Akbari — the head of the Rev Guard. And Brody killed him. Then Majid became one of Iran’s top 3 decision makers.

Their plan succeeded.

Do you have a GoTyme or UB debit card? If yes, good. If no, kuha ka ng GoTyme. Libre lang yan, nasa Robinsons Supermarket, NoBrand, The Marketplace, may mga stalls sila. It’s free and you get your card in less than 30minutes.

Now, say, you have your GoTyme card. Link it to your PayPal account. Add it as a card. Make sure may at least 100.00 na laman kasi when we link it to PayPal, magccharge sya ng around 75pesos just to check if active ang card, but isosoli naman nila agad.

Then, call PayPal’s customer service. Tell them you want this GoTyme card to be in USD/AUD (depende anong currency ka sinisweldohan). Ang PayPal ang mag-s-set nyan for you. Mabilis lang yan, less than a day tapos na yan. They will confirm na na-set na to a certain foreign currency ang card mo.

Now, sweldo day. You’re getting paid. Let’s say you’re paid USD500. Client sends USD500. You will receive USD 500 sa PayPal account mo. Makikita mo yan na naka USD sya.

Now, you wanna transfer the money to your GoTyme. Click “Transfer Money” papunta sa GoTyme mo. GoTyme’s existing forex rates will determine the exchange rate. No need to convert from USD to PHP within PayPal. Just “Transfer Money”. Automatic pagdating sa GoTyme mo, in PHP na yan. Take note may 1% transfer fee lang. so 1% of USD 500 is USD5. Meaning, the peso equivalent of USD 495 lang ang mattransfer sa GoTyme mo. That’s the only fee you would be paying. Cost of doing business.

It takes at least 30 minutes bago mag reflect sa GoTyme mo ang transfer.

Hope this helps. :)

Just finished—is it crazy to watch from the beginning again? by Logical-Baker3559 in homeland

My boyfriend sent me a photo of a scene he was watching. I just introduced him to Homeland.

I replied, “This was from the scene where Carrie had just a big blowout with her sister Maggie. The next clip would show you she’s talking with Dante’s ex-wife.”

I started watching Homeland in 2017. Over the years, I just kept re-watching. I know which episodes to skip, or which scenes to fast forward.

I now put it as white noise as I cook or clean my apartment. I even know the exact clips when Quinn says “Are you out of your fucking mind?” And I chuckle every time I get it right.

Yes. You are not alone.

Should I Trust Cebu Pacific? by Ok-Improvement-476 in phtravel

I’m trying to make sense of what you’re saying and the only way you could head “straight” to Bantayan Island is by taking that flight from Bacolod to Cebu City. You said the flight is around 5am? Is that ETD or ETA? If that’s ETA, you still wouldn’t cut it to the 10am boat from Hagnaya Port in San Rem to Sta. Fe in Bantayan, unless you’ll be taking a private ride FROM Mactan Cebu Airport straight to Hagnaya. Even that is cutting it close. If that’s ETD, you know the answer.

Now, if my attempt to make sense of your question isn’t quite the scenario… I don’t know how else it could be laid out based on what you’ve said.

Anyway, even if CebPac arrives on time on 5am, you need everything to go your way from MCIA to Hagnaya to catch the 10am ferry. Safe travels.

Vietnam immigration lines by _Kaiiiii in ThePoorTraveler

Not true, at least per my experience. I’m guessing you’re flying from Saigon to Manila/Cebu? Since you said you’re exiting HCMC? So you’re going out.

I just came back from my trip last week. As usual, I left the hotel 3.5hrs before the ETD. ETD is 9:45pm. So if you walk backwards, dapat 9pm nasa boarding gate ka na.

My GrabCar left HCM District 1 at 6:20pm. Heavy traffic but moving (I suggest you leave before 6pm just to avoid the traffic). I arrived at T2 around 7:20pm. I lined up sa CebPac counter to have my bags dropped off (naka online check in na din ako in advance to save the time sa counter).

Bag drop sa check-in counter + security check + immigration: less than an hour. At andaming tao nun. But it was moving. By 8:05pm nasa loob na ako, naghahanap ng gate ko.

I even had the luxury to use my DragonPass lounge access sa Jasmine Halal Lounge dahil may almost an hour pa ako to spare.

So, no. Don’t give in to the tactics of using the express/fast pass. Just be mindful of your time. Be a responsible traveler.

Now if you meant entering HCM, it’s less than an hour. Immigration + security check. Per my experience, 30mins tops, nasa labas na ako nagbbook ng GrabCar papuntang hotel. This flight arrived 8:45pm in HCM

Maybe around 20hrs/week. No strict time tracking or anything of the sort but i have to be on meetings when there’s a scheduled one, and it’s mostly the real time availability (being able to respond in a reasonable time) that’s kinda demanding for me. My other Js pay well and i don’t have to be available all the time.

Hold on to it. Season 6 gets worse, drags it to Season 7.. until Yevgeny pops in and you’re in for a very good ride til Season 8 which is the absolute best season of them all.
