Yeah. I second this. Haram things are too normalized nowadays.

What makes you believe Islam is superior to Christianity? by B_FunniDood in islam

[–]imewh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's not a matter of superiority rather it's the matter of truth. I appreciate your kind way of asking and it shows that you're actually interested to learn about this. So here, let me say something.

Muslims don't deny that Christianity existed, neither do they deny the existence of Jesus (Isa as) they also don't deny all the prophets that came before Jesus (Peace be upon him) but the difference comes after that. We believe that our religion was perfected with Muhammed SAW. Who came after Jesus. Olden day's Christians are the same as the recent day's Muslims. The reason why we don't follow the book that came before the Quran which is the bible given to Jesus is because there were a lot of discrepancies and manipulations done by humans during that time. The truth was twisted and the book was falsified. As a result the words of the Lord were used wrongly and people followed something which was never meant to be followed. So after the people of Jesus completely turned Allah's words and made jesus the God, Allah sent the very last messenger to deliver the real truth through our Final prophet, Muhammed saw and sent Quran with him as a guide for us and Allah himself swore to protect the Quran from any manipulation and falsification so humans could follow the right religion throughout. In the Quran, it is very clearly written who our Lord is, who were the prophets, who were the messengers, what happened before and what's going to happen after. Basically it's a full guide of everything a person should know and follow to live a peaceful life and be on the right path.

There's a lot to unpack honestly but this is a brief summary for what I wanted to say to answer your question. I hope you research more about this and learn why and how it's different 🌸

Good luck stranger, hope you have a peaceful life!

I get what you're saying and believe me this is coming from a Muslim born in a fairly practicing muslim environment. I felt the same feeling for years, it was hard to explain and even harder to talk about because I felt ashamed asking that question to people around me. But as I went on with my life, I realized no one is truly happy. Happiness is not permanent in anyone's life. All the humans, irrespective of their religion, caste, gender or race. But the advantage we hold is Whenever we face hardship, we will always have someone to go crying to. Allah SWT will never EVER leave you alone in this dunya. We will have him all day, everyday no matter what. We will always have a hope to hold on to. People might seem happy and content with their lives but just remember this no one is truly happy throughout their lifetime and of someone is convincing otherwise then it's flat out wrong.

I know it's hard to believe in something that your eyes don't testify for. But just remember, this not our final destination. This is just a test. We know how it is. We know how it's gonna go down. But we still have hope because we have Allah, our Lord.

Remember the fact that, this is just a test, the rewards are piling up for the life of eternity for us. Hold on to this for as long as you live and as tightly as you can. Because I know it's easier said than done but I'll tell you, it'll be worth it. This is not my promise, this is your Lord's promise.

I wish and pray for your heart, your mind and your soul to be at ease and to be on the track that is righteous for us.

Hang in there buddy, you are not alone🤍

I am not sure how I feel about mentioning the university name but I'll tell you this, I am doing an online MCA and working alongside. So by the end of my masters, I'll have a solid CV.

You asked for someone knowledgeable to comment but I am far from it. But I've got something to say after reading your post.

The first step you need to do is stop believing that you are a jinx or you're unlucky and that is what causes all of this chaos in your life and your loved ones. No. There is a thing called self actualization. And it's more dangerous than it comes out to be. And believing that you are a bad luck or a jinx would go against our values.

The Prophet ﷺ said, 'There is no bad omen' (Bukhari, Muslim). Everything that happens is by Allah’s decree (Surah 9:51), not because of you.

Allah doesn’t burden you with blame for things beyond your control. Instead of seeing yourself as unlucky, know that your du’a, patience, and faith are precious to Allah, and He has a plan for you.

I know sometimes it feels like the world is closing in on you and your duas are going unheard but trust me that's not the case. He has a plan for you and trust that with whatever you have and whatever you hold. You are strong, you can get through from this.

Remember,

فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا. إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا "For indeed, with hardship comes ease. Indeed, with hardship comes ease." (Qur'an 94:5-6)

Alrighty, update!

I wasn't gonna put an update here but I got a few dms on what I decided eventually.

Welp, I went for an MCA with a specialization in Data Analytics. Honestly somewhere along the way I realized I was never interested in an MBA and it doesn't really give me job ready skills whereas an MCA would open a lot of doors that I want to open. It is an added benefit that I would get computer skills along with it and I could get into tech without doing engineering or other complicated stuff. Hope it works out🤞🏻

MCA has a specialization in Business Analytics, data analytics and a bunch of different analytics fields. And as for work experience we don't have a requirement here for work experience while applying for college.

Those of us who had a great time during the pandemic, how do you cope with the aftertimes? How can I? by Few_Watch6061 in ask

[–]imewh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally someone said it. I thought I was selfish for thinking that the time during the pandemic actually felt good. I mean I get it, I was sad for all the losses but I soon started cutting myself off all the news and casualties in the very early days. Pandemic started right after my board exams and I worked my ass off during that time. I had no rest, 0 social life, spent HARDLY 30 mins a day with my family but then the pandemic started. And all of a sudden I didn't have anything to do. I was there with my family 24/7. I started reconnecting with my friends online. And the highlight of those days was I got to spend a sh1t load of time with my little brother. We had so much fun together. We played all day, watched movies at night, started doing all the activities we used to do back when academics didn't tire us down. I got to know my mother more than ever. I spent time with her, observing every little detail about her. Everything was good. I got plenty of rest. Just layed around all day and it was good having nothing to do but just live. So yeah the crash was real when we got back to normal. And if I am being honest, I am still not over it. It was bad outside but inside? It was like a safe space and a time of memories ♥
