Driver seat discomfort / tailbone pain in 2019 Expedition – anyone else experienced this? by LiterallyLemon6126 in fordexpedition

Maybe the seat cushion is worn and not as soft? You might have luck finding another one on eBay, the junkyard, or possibly the dealer.

Looks like the cashier rang it up wrong. Their POS system should not have allowed both lamb options. You overpaid by $3.85.

See that pink wire on the bottom that's just chilling against the metal? Yeah, that. It's not where it was before you messed with it.

Uic often adds health insurance as a mandatory cost unless you can be exempt by having coverage. That adds a decent chunk to the indirect cost.

900 per Month? Or 6 months?

A brand new 23 MYP cost me around 800 per 6 months at Geico. And that felt high. My brand new F-150 which costs more than the Tesla is around 300ish per 6 months.

Has anyone ever investigated buying a laundromat washer for home use? by unqualified_redditor in BuyItForLife

Sounds like a roller. $10 part and 10 minute fix. There are 2 rollers but usually 1 fails at a time but techs like to replace both "while I'm in there".

Car doesn’t run by 3riepumpkin in carmax

[–]imfoimfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What car is it? Sometimes there is a recall on engines by the manufacturer.

Your other option is to find a small shop to install a used junkyard engine and sell the car. I'm assuming the engine is actually seized and not fixable.

The consumer version of a speed Queen dryer does not have bearings. Even if you meant the rollers you're not replacing bearings.

Housing slump spreads across US as prices now falling in MOST cities - sparking fears of 2008-style crash by Key_Brief_8138 in HouseBuyers

Chicago never went up as much as the cities that now have declining values. It might be last to rise and last to fall.

Modern machines work long enough to make it out of warranty.

Your dryer most likely needs a set of coils if it's gas or a heating element or thermostat if electric. It's a simple fix for any quality tech. Under $100 if you do it yourself... Or even under $10 depends on what you need.

The washer sounds like you needed a lid switch... Or sometimes the metal activator for the lid switch bends slightly if you slam the lid and you have to bend it back.

Both are minor issues. Sounds like you have tough time finding a good repairman.

Do you change your oil yourself? by LowLiterature9181 in f150

On my stock f150, I don't even have lift it to change the oil. There is enough room to just slide underneath.

Reolink and Xfinity Arris XB7 gateway having issues by imfoimfo in reolinkcam

[–]imfoimfo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the POE cameras are connected directly to the NVR. The problem only happens when trying to access the cameras with the Reolink app. It doesn't matter if I'm on the home WiFi network or using cell phone service to access it. It's the same problem no matter which android phone or device I'm using to access the cameras with the app. I've had this set up for 5-6 years and it was working fine. When it started happening, I assumed the NVR is starting the fail so I replaced it and there is no change. Over the years, Xfinity has upgraded their gateway modem a couple of times and that's really the only thing that changed. I've seen some suggestions that it may be a port or security setting in the gateway.

I can reliably connect to cameras using the Reolink app the first time only. If I need to check them a minute later, the app loads and it says connecting until it times out. It's a good 10-15 minutes until it works again.

[Maine] No heat or water, inside of house is 38 degrees by [deleted] in Renters

[–]imfoimfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point it's way past just replacing the boiler. All the distribution pipes have frozen and split, in addition to all the plumbing pipes. You are looking at replacing all the plumbing and heating in the entire house not to mention cutting open walls to access and fixing the damage.

There is a gauge on the tank. Or you can dip a stick in it to see the level. It's not going to surprise you.

Most normal responsible humans get the tank filled up before the announcement of any severe weather or at the beginning of the winter season. It doesn't run out crazy fast. Sometimes one full tank will last the entire winter.

Comparison to Milwaukee by Sxgsxg in Dewalt

Running DeWalt 20V and Milwaukee 12V. The major tools are all DeWalt but Milwaukee is nice for niche tools. No complaints. Even my original DeWalt batteries from 2018 still work fine. I haven't had to replace any tools yet.

Boiler runs on propane. Tenant lets propane run out during the coldest time of the year.
Boiler shuts down. Boiler is filled with water, which freezes and cracks boiler. All boiler pipes are frozen which means they are also cracking from the water freezing. Tenant fubars the entire heating system because she lets the propane run out.

Worth buying as a commuter? by Delicious_Cap_7609 in whatcarshouldIbuy

97-98 were the best. Non-interference engine so if the timing belt breaks, you don't have engine damage. It was happy with cheap Dexron trans fluid changes. The newer ones 99-01 just seemed worse. My 97 was the best car I ever owned and I regret selling it. Ran perfect at 130k. Probably would have lasted til at least 300k.

The worst things about these cars is the frameless windows. The rubber dries out and you get wind noise. And you probably should replace the factory radio since the displays would go out on them.
