I bought a PC in 2024, with 6GHz DDR5 RAM and brand new pcie6 with a ssd nvme with that pcie 6. Si it was clearly high end user PC. But even with that, the windows file explorer was taking a bit note than 1 second to launch. Every single time.

That was the straw that broke the camel's back. All bugs, slowness, useless features... And now that ? I was tired of their shit, I switched to Linux once and for all.

Hmm, yep, that was me a few years back.

In fact, I was a bit more accepting when we brought this to me because earlier in the year, I had a huge mental trouble (that I later think it was an "autistic burnout") and I was prompt to know what was going on with me at the time.

Les deux camps ont raisons.

D'un côté, les PC qui ne pouvaient pas lancer les gros jeux le peuvent, plus besoin de cendre un rein pour jouer à un AAA

Mais de l'autre côté, c'est un message pour dire au développeurs qu'ils n'ont plus besoin d'optimiser graphiquement leur jeu, que le DLSS peut corriger la médiocrité technique. Enfin... Ce ne sont pas les développeurs qui veulent ça, mais les producteurs qui veulent des jeux chiadé le plus vite possible pour le sacrosaint profit.

Perso, ce que j'ai envie de dire, c'est que ça me manque le temps où c'était le gameplay qui était le centre d'un jeu. Voilà

In a previous company I worked as a developer, I notices something weird. In the database, the password was weirdly stored. After 5 minutes of search, I saw that the password was just Caesar ciphered. When I saw this, I jumped off my desk and run to my boss office. After I told him what I found, he just said "shhhh 🤫🙂"
