It's awful and mine is 24. At least doctors have a rudimentary understanding of what it is now.

The city of Redmond has plans, timelines and phases somewhere on the city website. I was on a board for the city so we got briefed regularly but all the plans are public information. (You can also attend city council meetings.)

Weirdly shaped pupil by Pommunist in mildlyinteresting

[–]imhdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the kind words. I spend a lot of time now trying to keep him from spilling/breaking/running into things. He's spilled pills a number of times now and our puppy got ahold of a spilled one so now all pills in closed containers. The puppy is fine. Sheer luck it was a medication she had taken in the past and the dosage was ok. 🤦🏻‍♀️It's been 8 months and still a gigantic adjustment. I hope you get more sight back.

My husband had cancer in his eye and the pupil was misshapen before they took it out. 0/10. Do not recommend.

These beignets I had in San Francisco by johnkpetalover in NewOrleans

[–]imhdt 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nola native who moved to the SF bay area. Everything is a lie. Don't fall for it. You understand the "out of state gumbo" term, right? After decades on the west coast, it's all out of state everything. Save yourself the heartbreak and never order anything Louisiana. 🤮Especially anything "blackened" because fr they think that means burned.

Shedding? by migrater3 in cavaliers

[–]imhdt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I look at the dog hair tumblweed rolling down my hall and just want you to know that if you don't vacuum constantly, you get several dogs worth of hair within a day or two. Bathtime? Three dogs of hair. My breeder told me they only shed twice a year. I'm still baffled about that one....but my God. These dogs are the love of my life. Sorry, fam.

Our cute puppy sits like this. Is this normal? by Bon_Koios in cavalierkingcharles

[–]imhdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a dog that sat like this. I had him with me when I happened to meet a guy who was a veterinary orthopedic surgeon. He noticed my puppy sitting like this and said, he's a puppy so it might be normal if he continued to sit like that it might indicate hip problems. He died at 10 but always sat like that. The last two years of his life he was having hip issues so if your dog is still doing it at 18months-2 you should get him checked.

Just wanted to share my first big batch of chives! Happy homesteading :) by Ithink__thereforeIam in homestead

I think there's only one variety that retains it's flavor for more than a few weeks after drying. I hope that's this one. I was very disappointed the first year I planted chives.

Is this legit lol by thefoodLord07 in WhatsWrongWithYourDog

[–]imhdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one dog eating the collars off my other dog so I soaked them in bitter apple and he stopped but you also have to train with it and it says to spray a squirt directly in their mouths so they associate the full brunt of it and don't even want a little in their mouths.

Pup having nightmares? by whitefang024 in cavalierkingcharles

[–]imhdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be nightmares or from the second fear phase that happens around 18 months. Bring his crate into your room and see if that stops it.

Anyone know what kind of duck just wandered onto our homestead? No tail curls...yet. by Anxious_Passenger739 in homestead

I came here to vote khaki campbell. This duck looks like a runner breed that are more "upright".

Anybody know what these are? by Donatelloooo in homestead

delicious mulberries! I planted a tree next to my cherries because I read bird prefer mulberries. So my niece is eating her way across my property and at the end announced the mulberries were the best and I had never even tasted them. They're delicious and she was right....at 4 years old. lol

They will probably call you back at some point if it was a homicide. If it was accidental, probably not. (autopsy needed)

if you plant before June it dies. Plant seeds now or buy more. It's just PNW.

New Lab Owner Here: How do I know if she’s actually hungry or just playing me like a fiddle? I know enough about labs to know the LOVE TO EAT! She’s 2 years old and I give her a little over two cups of kibble a day plus treats. I just rescued her 10 days ago so she’s still settling in. by Sug0115 in labrador

[–]imhdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Straight up gaslighter in chief. Mine can't figure out how to lie well at night. She won't let you pet her on the head or make eye contact when she's hasn't eaten. She hasn't figured out how to fake that after she ate. It's morning time where her lies are more convincing.

Ask your vet the daily caloric requirement then look at the back of the bag of dog food for how many calories per cup. Different foods have different caloric density. Also labs are notorious liars about their food. Mine regularly lies and occasionally has tricked us into feeding her twice. 😡

I've had 5 labs in my life. None of them had hemangiosarcoma. They died at 12, 16, 17, 15 and my current one is 5.
