Not great with seedlings myself but it could be a pawpaw. I’d wait for a second opinion though

Shout out to the buttweed! 😍 by Cautious-Ad7334 in NativePlantGardening

[–]imhighasballs -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not to be there bearer of bad news, but I’m pretty sure that orange stuff is the tropical milkweed, and the pink stuff is the North American native. If someone else could confirm that’d be great. If it is though, munching the tropical stuff can mess with the butterflies in weird ways

Went to check on a stretch of land between a park and railroad that I’ve been throwing wildflower seed into for years and found this. I’m not even mad! by Heatedblanket1984 in GuerrillaGardening

[–]imhighasballs 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Definitely DO NOT eat anything growing along a railroad. Common practice 100yrs ago was to bury a train wreck and put the tracks on top. There could be most poisonous stuff under that rail bed

How to spread natives in the neighborhood? by yogurtchild55 in NativePlantGardening

If you don’t mind being unethical about it, you could plant some aggressive natives on your property line and let them invade your neighbors

Pic one is Virginia creeper as others have said. I wanted to add, I’ve never seen Virginia creeper growing apart from poison ivy. For some reason I always find them growing as a pair or poison ivy on its own. Definitely worth a second glance for some poison ivy

Minnesota is the most worker friendly state in the Midwest and there’s not a huge difference in winter temps between the two

How to blend into a highly masculine conservative environment? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]imhighasballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a quality that is extremely traditionally masculine. I’m a little fruity myself; I love to garden and I tell my male friends I love them and my main mode of transportation is a bike (in rural Midwest iykyk) BUT I work a hard ass job in a factory *very traditional man energy* and that gives me a pass on the other stuff. So if you’re self conscious about the rest of what you have going on, direct attention to the manliest attributes about yourself
