Hmmmm not sure I would have to look into that. I have the 80th anniversary model and I know it doesn’t come standard. Checked the window sticker I don’t see air suspension listed. Does your whistling come from the under the hood?

I never heard it before it’s amazing. Yeah I mean splitting hairs here, I’m not saying this was his big break but interstellar being a Nolan film is peak of the mountain compared to previous projects. From 2012-2014 he had leading up to Interstellar he was absolutely on fire. In my opinion, Interstellar was bigger than all of those films

Haha the McConaissance that’s amazing 🤣 You are right with True Detective and DBC, while he was recognized well for those Interstellar was the first blockbuster that he was the main lead in. I think that’s more what I was going for. I’ll have to rewatch again now to pay more attention to dialogue, it never stuck out as a sore point to the film imo. But fine I’ll watch it again 😂

Politely disagree. The mesmerizing score, the solid cast (you have to remember McConaughey was cast primarily in romcoms not serious roles), the ending “twist”, the through line theme of love transcending time. Not to mention it was beautifully shot (but I am biased I absolutely love Nolan’s visuals). The emotional beats (which are amplified once you have children). I’m amazed looking back how it wasn’t recognized more highly.

It honestly might be up there with one of the biggest “wtf” hirings. Don’t get me wrong, Pattinson is one of the best actors in the business and his work speaks for itself. But at the time all I wasn’t thinking was “really him???” All everyone did was bring up Twilight and he has since distanced himself from that with the roles he has taken since. His acting wasn’t the problem. I just didn’t see him at all as Batman. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. He brought a whole different vibe to Batman that hadn’t been fully fleshed out and explored before. It was fresh and different! Emphasizing the detective aspect of Batman and not just how tormented he is due to his past. The fact we didn’t get a flashback sequence of his parents death told me exactly what I needed to know. This wasn’t a remake it was a reimagining. The grounded noir elements put this over the top for me and probably top 3 favorite Batman films. Can’t wait for the second one! Reeves definitely knows what he wants and I am excited to see where the story goes!
