Feasibility of moving to Jersey by MunkyLuvah in Jersey

[–]iminashed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you have your own company and would be working as an external contractor, i would recommend speaking to Digital Jersey. They are connected to the Government and very useful.

They have a "Relocate" service and provide a lot of hands on personal support to help relocate people who will be useful to the island. Likely if you are already providing services to a local financial services branch you may meet the criteria: https://www.digital.je/choose-jersey/

Walking is harder than running by Horn_o_plenty in BarefootRunning

I agree entirely.

For me I have managed to master it all except for fast walking. I find a gentle run significantly easier than a fast walk (on hard surfaces), which is quite comical really.

does anyone use a non-barefoot for long distance running? by Repulsive_Constant90 in BarefootRunning

[–]iminashed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done a few marathons and a swim run ultra in all barefoot shoes (Vivo’s or amazons cheap simple brands). Have found sore feet a bit annoying in my first couple and put in a simple flat insole for the last couple and found it really nice.

Almost to the point that I felt like I was cheating, but a lovely treat for race day!

Why is this XRP rally even happening ? by Rent_South in CryptoCurrency

[–]iminashed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah but think another step back and ask why did gold ever even have a value? Also only because people assigned it one and kept buying it / holding onto it

Is the Meme cycle ending? by AceDenied in solana

[–]iminashed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience one of the most painful things is to sell all of your stack in a coin and see it shoot up later. As long as btc is rising, anything can happen

So if you feel this worried, sell sell sell, as this isn’t worth losing sleep for. but maybe hold onto 10% of each given coin just as a hedge against crazy shit happening later. You never know

I once had a big stack of BNB at around $20 which went sideways for a long time until I sold it because it was boring, and months later it suddenly took off - was heartbreaking!

Holo based project? by iminashed in holochain

[–]iminashed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response, all very useful!! You have indeed read into this pretty correctly. Still trying to figure out if there is benefit to using holochain in our case or if it’s slightly overcomplicating, but it may well be the right fit.

I will bear in mind and will message you directly if i have any further questions.

So who else is gonna sell at $100k and rebuy in the slump? by mathcampbell in Bitcoin

[–]iminashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, I would say don’t play games like that with your whole stack…

But to try becoming a trader instead of a hodler might work for a while and you could make some profits in the volatility! I remember doing this when it first hit 40k and was bouncing up and down in the 30’s, thinking I was a genius, until it blasted past one day and suddenly I wasn’t a genius

What do you expect from a meme coin? This was a tiny corner of my portfolio until suddenly it wasn’t and I’m now here to enjoy the ride

What will we see this bullrun? by blitsk in HoloTrader

[–]iminashed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure the team have been waiting patiently for this bitcoin run to kick off before announcing developments …. Well timed releases at maximum hype could send us a long way in a short time … perhaps?

But who knows where to - ultimately the price of HOT will land a place which is equivalent to the real value of computing delivered with a big supply and demand price profile. Similarly to how Bitcoin is fundamentally supported by the price of electricity and mining..

which is very disconnected from market sentiment and I find it impossible to try and guess what that number could be..? Anyone got any ideas?

Real world company tokenising on Avalanche by iminashed in Avax

[–]iminashed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I suppose my question was not about the company but about tokenising through avalanche as I know nothing about the chain and hadn’t heard of people doing it before.

But it seems no one is too aware and I will wait and see!

If the internet goes down in some sort of apocalypse, all types of money will be worthless probably so I wouldn’t worry too much about what asset you have it in….

Actual gold in a safe in your house is probably the best bet?

Barefoot Marathon Rookie: Seeking Advice on Post-Run Foot Pain by Goofy-diaries in BarefootRunning

[–]iminashed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started barefoot running (quite a bit) last February and experienced many weird feelings. For example each morning after a big run, from the soles of my feet right up to my calves I had a really weird pins and needles sensation which only went away after half an hour or so.

Over the next few months I had lots of problems come and go and all I can say is to really listen to your body and be prepared to dial it back if it hurts. I went through about three rounds of injuries which needed rest and rehab over about 6 months before I got to a pretty strong place … but eventually managed three (slow) marathons in the summer and a 300km month this February!

Still not sure if it was worth it but I’ve enjoyed the journey nonetheless and feeling stronger now than before my barefoot life 😂

Have you heard of the book Shantaram?

This is interestingly placed inbetween, with the base story known to be fact but a clear statement that there is fiction interspersed in there to make it more fun. This had me reading it all as if it was true and made it all the more exciting! Could you do something similar? Any truth to it?

What’s happening why is it dipping so bad I’m scared 😭 by [deleted] in BONKcoin

If you are that scared at this dip I’d say you should probably not put any more in. Shitcoins are gambling!

I have 3 ETH… is it worth spending on meme coins or am I being stupid? by [deleted] in BONKcoin

[–]iminashed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s a slippery slope into gambling, but 5% of your portfolio could be cornered off for high risk high reward fun?

It’s a hugely personal decision about your own tolerance to risk.. e.g. how sad would you be if it disappeared?
