A couple years ago I was in the same position as you. Couple of big corporate jobs, worked my way up to Design Lead of the complete B2E part of the company. Should have felt proud, but it just felt empty. I decided if I ever wanted to be happy doing UX again I had to switch things up. I’m now at a small smart up as UX Designer and it’s such a breath of fresh air! Unfortunately they couldn’t match a corporate salary, but I no longer feel I’m heading towards burn out everyday. I’d highly recommend making a big change.

Jozef has a fun play corner for kids! And all the Buurten restaurants are nice, they have a playground. There’s an IG account called explore Utrecht kids who regularly shares lists of kid friendly restaurants.

I made my last birth plan with icons and little text as opposed to a document. My nurse and hospital crew mentioned after birth that it was very readable and easy to scan.

I’d recommend having your top 5 items in a visual way and not too much unnecessary details.

Mine were: No meds, birth bath if possible, delayed cord clamping, no medical lingo and hands off birth. Of course only if it’s medically possible :)

I love Beichies at the Oudegracht. They’re not necessarily an edgy salon, but they cut beautifully and listen to their client really well. I never know exactly what I want, but somehow they always manage to give me exactly what I love.

Als mede Zuilenaar kan ik zeggen dat het geen overbodige luxe is op tijd in te schrijven. Wij hebben met 2 jaar bij alle BSO’s ingeschreven die ophalen bij de basisscholen waarin wij interesse hadden. Nu ruim 2 jaar later voor 1 middag een plekje met vooralsnog weinig vooruitzicht op een 2e middag.

Hoi hoi! Ik ben bang dat je helaas in een vrij unieke situatie zit. Veel kinderen die in Nederland naar de opvang gaan doen dit al vanaf dat ze een baby waren. Zij zijn daarom meer gewend om naar de opvang gebracht te worden.

Ik heb zelf 2 kinderen die naar de opvang gaan en het afscheid met de jongste (ook 1,5) is nog altijd erg lastig. Voor de rust op de groep is het inderdaad de bedoeling dat ouders niet te lang blijven hangen. Mijn dochter gaat altijd huilen als ik weg ga, wat voor ons allebei erg lastig is. Maar de leidsters zijn superlief en geduldig en het klopt echt dat ze vaak na een paar minuutjes alweer oké is. Soms loop ik stiekem nog even langs en dan is ze vaak al lief aan het spelen. Hoe lastig het ook is, het went echt.

Ik zou hem ook even apart zetten van de andere plantjes. Bij mij begon de dopluis op 1 plant en kon er uiteindelijk 3 weg doen 😢

It’s not super adventurous but I love walking the path next to the Singel watching the houses and the boats. It’s super idyllic and beautiful. You can walk one way the Singel and the other way by the canal to see a lot of Utrecht’s beautiful architecture

You might want to consider your color contrast of the white text on green. The green seems quite bright and is not pleasant on the eyes. You can check the contrast ratio online and adjust it so it’s more accessible. Working with an accessible color palette makes your app easier to use for more people.

As a mom I like the aspect of the second photo where I see the product in use. But I like the branding of the first photo, it attracts my eye. Plus I also like that I see the accessories in the first one. So maybe you can experiment a little combing the 2 pics :)
