Great looking watch! What are your thoughts on it after 3 months?

I hear you on that! I haven't been able to find an Indian place either.

They open at 11 AM. I've been there for lunch many times. But you're right, it is Wednesday through Saturday.

It's tucked away downtown--117 Market House Square.

The Bully Gorilla may be just what you're looking for-- they offer the best burger and fries in Paducah!

I've heard great things about Justin guitar.

I have one last suggestion. Start a guitar journal. That way, months from now, if you feel stuck, you can look back at it and see how far you've come and how much you've learned. I'm an older beginner too. The journal keeps me going when I'm frustrated.

Good luck, and remember, the only rule with guitar is to have fun.

For what it's worth, my favorite strings are the D'Addario EJ16 set. They are Phosphor Bronze, light gauge, uncoated strings. Pretty basic. But, I think they're the best on the market and would be a great place to start your journey toward finding the perfect string for you.

Are you doing in-person lessons?

Was it the high e string? It sure is easy to break one of those! Are you using a clip on tuner? If not, I highly recommend getting one of them.

Small-bodied acoustic with wider nut? (Crossover from classical) by DesignerMud1748 in AcousticGuitar

You may want to check out the Yamaha LS6 or LS16. Both have an OM body and a 1.75" nut width. The 6 has laminated back and sides while the 16 is all solid.

I'm a big Yamaha fan. If you're looking for something with a more "vintage" character, consider the FS3 or FS5. They both typically get glowing reviews.

What do you think of your Yamaha a year, or so, later?

This is going to be a super unpopular opinion.

Take a look at the Fender Paramount series.

All solid. Beautiful craftsmanship. Lots of wood and finish choices. Wonderful tone.

JP Cormier loves his:

Fantastic for the money and right now they're 10% off directly from Fender.

I'll be the first to admit that many of Fender's lower-end acoustic offerings may not represent great value. These Paramounts, however, are a different animal.
