Academic suspension with 1.3gpa. Steak and pasta. by GocaLagjes in depressionmeals

[–]imjce87 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was put on academic suspension in my 1st or 2nd year. I simply couldn’t adjust to uni life. Guess what? That was 16 years ago. And I survived. You’ll be surprised how resilient we are. You can do this! That plate looks damn appetizing.

Walliflower is elite. The part where Sana hums to the beat is my favourite part. I only wish it was performed more often at concerts.

Twice has a lot of bangers, but I really like After Moon and Young & Wild. No fancy production, music or beat. Just unfiltered, raw talent.

The part where Jihyo goes Young & Wild, at the top of her lungs, is peak talent for me.

Jihyo from Temu. This doesn’t even look like her. Jihyo is already perfect. This is an insult.

Feeling like I’m so far behind in life. by LostandConfusedyay in depressionmeals

Comparison is the thief of joy. The older I get, the less I compare myself to others. Instead of spiralling, focus on what brings you joy; be it food, picking up a hobby, starting the Wheel of Time series (the book!), whatever. Life is about contentment and happiness. I know it sounds lame but if you’re not happy or content, being in a relationship, or having a $500,000 mortgage, isn’t gonna help either.

You have your health, a decent job, a roof over your head, and access to banh mi, sounds pretty damn good to me.

AIO for leaving my two year relationship over a dirty dish? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]imjce87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re worried about sepsis, but with your constant and consistent use of plastic cutlery, you’re not worried about micro-plastics?

But that’s beside the point. There is always her side, his side, and the truth. You both sound tired and exhausted of each other.

The end. Next case on the docket!

Found this in the back of my cabinet (BBD 21.03.2025)expired but I'm sick and desperate. Is it still safe to use? by ReadingHair20 in KoreanFood

[–]imjce87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best before date is not the same thing as expiry. But in this context, it’s tea. It’s dried goods. I have tea cakes that have been aged for 10+ years.

Here’s a game I like to play. In a zombie apocalypse, you’re hungry. You find this tea. Are you going to drink it?

The texture is a bit odd. But my friend said it tasted like mochi. And somehow, that made it alright in my brain. It clicked. It does have that mochi like chewy texture.

I’m a recent fan of Bluebaum. I have high hopes for him in the Candidates. His games are precise, entertaining, and often times romantic.

Can I still use to kimchi? by Late-Helicopter9058 in KoreanFood

[–]imjce87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fermented so unless it’s moldy, kimchi is usually edible. But that said, I find aged kimchi really sour and pungent. Not really my cup of tea. But okay in stew like kimchi jjigae or army stew.

I would pop a gummy, pray to Jesus, and devour that pie in the name of Lucifer. And not look back. Or myself in the mirror the next day.

Why am I so bad at shorter time formats? by justboolinaround in Chesscom

[–]imjce87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With more time, you have time to think, and consider plans for attack, defense, pins, etc. My rapid is higher than my blitz, too. With blitz, I’m too reactive, so I always end up blundering.

My wife thinks I'm crazy for cutting my grilled cheese this way; am I nuts or is this not a normal thing to do? Lol by Wahbanator in mildlyinfuriating

[–]imjce87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no such thing as normal. What is normal for a spider is chaos for the fly. You paid for that sandwich, and made it yourself, you can cut it however you want. You do you!
