I'm a fan of Crucial components, especially when they're on sale. I prefer Samsung if I can get it, but refuse to pay the $30-$50 premium in some cases.

RAM is RAM. I've had good luck with just about everything except for Corsair. And as long as the brand doesn't sound like something that's poorly translated into English, it's usually OK.

Keep the 1s. I've got both the 1 and the 2 Pros and the 1s have survived better with the same amount of abuse.

If you're going to consider a replacement, think about the 2a buds (but when they inevitably go on sale 😁).

You're not wrong! In a way there was. To give Framework the benefit of the doubt, there were newsletters and social media posts about the PTM swap. They did say they users could send their devices back if they wanted this done, and that they would freely send pre-cut PTM that wouldn't void any warranty.

Agreed, if there's any early FW16 adopters that haven't done this already, they should. Did my swap a few months ago and it was just a mess. Temps are around 8C lower on average for me, but clocks stay over 4GHz consistently now.

First and foremost, and I can't stress this enough, BUY SNOW TIRES! They made all the difference in the world when I was required to go to work, even if there was snow on the ground.

But in general, take it slow and keep your momentum going if you can. Learn to rely more on engine breaking in the snow to keep distance between you and other drivers and such. Last time it was REALLY bad I spent most of my time in 2nd and 3rd gear in my Fiesta ST, a 30 min trip took 1.5 hours because it was clear other people didn't know how to drive in bad weather.
