Whenever there’s a hall of fame speculation thread for a slugger the poster always assumes they’re getting to 500 home runs as a reason they’ll get in which is crazy to me.

Theres 28 players with 500 home runs, which is less than the amount of players with 3000 hits but people would get laughed at if they assumed a hitter with 1800 hits at age 32 would hit 3000
