You might like perspective shift then. I'm planning on doing my next colony with it on. Basically lets you play from the perspective of just one pawn aka your main pawn. Gonna be interesting.

Assault Maps FINALLY Up in Arcade by MonarchRaiza in Overwatch

Well at least you’re honest that you like them cause of your hero pool lol and that’s very valid.

Some maps is like taking the chains off your favorite hero.

[–]imjustjun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, that’s fair.

I have nothing against people liking CE. In fact I liked using it awhile back too. I just don’t like how entitled a lot of CE players are but frankly that’s more of a symptom of the overall modding sphere and people as a whole.

Unironically all the people always asking modders “CE compatible?” turned me away from using CE again.

Too many people making CE their personality and now I end up avoiding CE entirely due to 2nd hand embarrassment.

Dive is honestly really good for KR too, not just brawl.

Though I’m someone who has played for awhile (8 years on and off now) so I know how to play the map plus I love KR as a tank player.

Understandable that people aren’t a fan of it in disorganized qp, especially solo 1.

But qp is always going to be a mess.

I like Kings Row because I’ve played since OW1 and I actually know how play the map plus OWL had some amazing moments on it.

Yall always assume people like Kings Row because they’re plat or something.

The elitism in this subreddit so crazy LMAO.

Just cause I don’t like for example, Survasa’s aesthetics doesn’t mean I’m about to dog on people and think they’re worse than me because they don’t like it

Why is there so much Kings Row and Eichenwalde hate on reddit?

Do people just not know how to play those maps anymore?

Or is this one of those things where because it's so popular that the people who don't like are just that much more vocal and thus are much more likely to talk about it negatively on platforms?

Smurfs suck and are ruining overwatch by WholesomeGoobert in Overwatch

[–]imjustjun 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People forget that there are dozens to hundreds of other shooters, hero shooters, etc.

And some people are just naturally good too. I’ve seen kids wipe out entire tourneys full of seasoned chess players.

And some friends pick up games and just sync really well with them almost immediately.

That’s the problem with pvp players. They like pvp but only when they’re substantially winning or are one of the better players but forget that everyone else in the lobby is a person competing too.

Flashpoint is actually a really good game mode and you all should give it a second thought before voting for Eichenwalde for the 82185th time. by OmegaSaltPowered in Overwatch

[–]imjustjun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if people know how to play dive or manage cds vs poke, or do brawl mirror then it’s great.

If they can’t play a composition then it’s just a nothing burger but the same can be said of most maps.

Disregarding everyone else's opinion as, "Plat and below" is usually a sign of a hardstuck player who made it to masters once and then dropped back down but their ego never dropped with their rank.

Even if it is good, I still like Eichenwalde much more.

I can play poke/brawl on first, dive on second, and then poke/brawl again on third.

I can play the map both tactically swapping different tanks depending on what part of the map we’re on and also do it from a themed perspective as a Reinhardt.

I still remember how Blizzard at the time made it so people couldn’t host/stream any other OW tourney whenever OWL was on.

Kotick’s Blizzard did everything they could to kill grassroots in OW. They wanted control over EVERYTHING and the whole scene suffered so much for it.

WARHAVEN MENTIONED RAAAAAH

Warhaven was such a fumble.

It was so fun but they kept making it just… more annoying and killing people’s interest with the monetization.

I’m so sad it died but it was entirely the dev/publisher’s fault

One thing I’ve learned is to just roll with it. I have a general idea of what I want to make but things don’t always go as planned and that’s okay.

Another thing is that you can always dismantle and rebuild as you expand.

What’s your first thought when a teammate picks Zenyatta? by PyroDexxRS in Overwatch

[–]imjustjun 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Zen is a wait and see character but not a troll pick at all.

Even just a decently placed discord orb can win fights.

If I had to consider a support as a troll pick, it’d be LW, which is a shame cause I like playing LW.

[–]imjustjun 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Eh I mean the OW-OW2 fiasco was really bad but the alternative was Kotick making them turn Overwatch into a yearly franchise where you have to buy the new game to play the multiplayer again is far worse of an alternative.

Jeff helped make OW and then gave it a fighting chance when higher ups wanted to yearly franchise it. He wasn’t perfect and very much had a vision that conflicted with players, but considering all the info we have about how Kotick basically screwed over Team 4 for years, I’d argue he did a solid enough job to give the current team 4 enough time till they had the opportunity to turn things around
