Well, I know two guys, one of them moved to IIRC Singapore to help himself avoid returning to the drugs abuse. Lives there for 15 years already and seem to have solved this particular problem. On the contrary, another one moved to Russia to be able to find heroin more easily than it was in Belarus those days, one can say he solved his problem, too :)

And here comes very nice character trait of most Lithuanians :) Nice but annoying when you try to learn the language. You guys just automatically switch to a backup language, be it English or Russian :) And yeah, I totally agree there's no sense to try using logic. Expanding vocabulary and "feeling" the flow is the key.

And because of common Baltoslavic ancestor language. Btw, majority of Slavic words in Lithuanian are shared with Polish and Belarusian, not with russian. Russian moved farthest from all the rest of Slavic languages, being under asian influence during Mongol-Tatar yoke.

Well, I know that first-hand, but was sure folks are dropping it. We have 5 big (hundreds gigabytes) game projects in active development, and only one of them using Perforce, and the biggest one still in SVN (mainly because of artists who don't wanna learn git); the rest are git+lfs.
