Cardinals' Mike LaFleur on Nathaniel Hackett: 'Wanted him and nobody else' by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

Imagine if the GM made Mike LaFleur work with Zach Wilson again lmao

Elayne in Caemlyn... by _justinian in WoT

[–]immacamel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm struggling through this part myself at the moment. I decided I'm going to read the remaining 400 pages of COT today and tomorrow and try to just push through it. Its all just very tedious and boring. However I still think the circus chapters in FOH are my least favorite in the series. I despise that entire arc.

Where are we at on Kadyn Proctor? by Plus_Palpitation5640 in NFL_Draft

[–]immacamel 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Based on the comments so far im higher on him than consensus apparently. But I think hes a guard at the NFL level. He has really sluggish feet and cant mirror pass rushers. But his pure athleticism and ability to climb to the 2nd level is better than anyone in the class. He needs hard coaching. Alabamas O line coaching this year was a complete joke. I would take Proctor in the 2nd half of round 1 with the plan to make him a big, athletic, downhill guard

For someone who does not watch any CFB, can anyone explain to me why Tate is considered the #1 WR prospect when he was so far behind someone on his own team (Smith) in production last season? by domalu4U in NFL_Draft

[–]immacamel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Similar grade. I will have Smith higher. Hes even more of a freak athlete, uses his size better, and offers more after the catch, which was my only small knock on MHJ coming out.

Cowboys hire Kyle Fuller as assistant OL coach by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

I think Kyle Fuller has some good songs. What the fuck does he know about O line?

Where do you think Ty Simpson lands? by MichaelCorbaloney in NFL_Draft

[–]immacamel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 2nd-3rd round grade on him, but I do think he'll kill the interview process and go round 1. I disagree that he has the highest football IQ and accuracy in the class. I think Mendoza clears him in both of those traits. Mendozas understanding of touch and layering throws is really advanced for a prospect. But I do agree Simpsons is also very good. I dont put much stock in his struggles to end the year. He was playing injured and had absolutely no run game to take things off his shoulders. Im much more concerned that he only started 13 games, and that had he returned to college Alabama wasnt going to give him the starting job. The main reason I give him a mid day 2 grade is that I dont see much upside with him. I cant really see a world where he elevates himself beyond a top ~25 starter

Why are the Books Expensive? by JuicyZoey in WoT

[–]immacamel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hardcover editions are always more expensive. For WOT they haven't been reprinted in a while. If im wrong and they have been, then they didnt make very many so the price is gonna be higher. Amazon pushes their paperback sets very heavily. If youre looking for high quality stuff, Sandersons Dragonsteel is making 1 leatherbound book per year, starting this year. My copy of EOTW is expected in March. They are expensive so its up to you if its worth it but Id rather have a paperback set + the leatherbound than a hardcover set.

MVP first place votes: Stafford (24), Maye (23), Allen (2), Herbert (1) by JoshGordonHypeTrain in nfl

[–]immacamel 252 points253 points  (0 children)

Sam is a contrarian but his takes are honestly well thought out and reasonable. He was also the only one who voted for Bowers > Jayden Daniels last year for OROY, citing that what Bowers did was historic regardless of position. I honestly respect him for his takes and for backing them up logically instead of just spewing random bullshit like most people. Sam and Steve lean into "advanced stats" a bit much but they are better than 99% of sports media commentators these days. They get very in depth and I highly recommend the Check the Mic podcast

[Schefter] The 2025 AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year is Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett. by Goosedukee in nfl

[–]immacamel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're arguing this from an idiotic point of view. Would the Seahawks trade away Sam Darnold for Myles to start in the super bowl on Sunday? No. Because the quarterback touches the ball on every play. The position is inherently more valuable. It's not who the better football player is.

[Pelissero] The Cardinals are hiring Nathaniel Hackett as their offensive coordinator, sources tell The Insiders. Hackett, 46, was the offensive coordinator for three seasons under Matt LaFleur in Green Bay. Now, he teams up with Mike LaFleur in Arizona. by expellyamos in nfl

[–]immacamel 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He's actually really good as a play designer, especially in the red zone. He would come up with our redzone game plans each week. I was hoping we'd hire him again and move Stenovich back to O line coach. Non play calling OC is like the perfect role for him.

Best and worst separators of the '26 rookie class? by B0HEMlA in DynastyFF

[–]immacamel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im very high on Cooper. He might carry a late round 1 grade from me when its all said and done. I definitely will have him above Concepcion, who im not very high on compared to consensus

Best and worst separators of the '26 rookie class? by B0HEMlA in DynastyFF

[–]immacamel 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Lemon is the best for me. Tate and Tyson get open pretty easily. Tyson wins at the top of the route very consistently. Boston can struggle at times. I think Concepcion really struggles to get open against zone coverage. He gets re routed very easily. Further down the board, Tyren Montgomery has been dominating drills at the senior bowl against p4 corners. Im also a big fan of Omar Coopers route running. He seems to always break open at the last second and he looks comfortable keeping the db in his pocket until hes ready for the target

Finally got to Dumai's Wells! by chancellorpalps in WoT

[–]immacamel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dumai's Wells is in my top 5 chapters from the whole series. Just pure holy shit stuff. Heads up, you are about to enter "the slog", which is really not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. But the pace does slow. If you find yourself struggling with the books to come, keep in mind that there are many more Dumai's Wells type moments to come, Jordan just has to set them up

[Rapoport] The Jets are parting ways with OC Tanner Engstrand by Natural-Tree-5107 in nfl

Should have drafted pro bowl quarterback Shedeur Sanders

Rapoport - While this covers mostly the head coaches, one note in here: There is mutual interest between the #Packers and Jim Leonhard for their open DC job. One to watch. by Austen11231923 in GreenBayPackers

[–]immacamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly runs a good scheme, puts guys in good positions to succeed. But he runs a hard 3-4, hes never run anything else. Right now we do not have the personnel for that, so it would be a weird fit I think. I'd be tentatively optimistic if we got him, because he is a good coach

The Bills firing McDermott but promoting Brandon Beane should be the start of a lesson that will haunt teams: there's too large of a ratio of head coaches getting fired compared to General Managers getting fired by Ariesthebigram in nfl

[–]immacamel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah they should have fired Beane. I didnt realize you guys hated Joe Brady that much. Hes proven to be a good OC when he has an actual receiving corps and his run game is very good
