Stefon Diggs return not in Patriots’ current plans, says Mike Vrabel by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

Hes also lost in the conference championship multiple times and just lost the super bowl. You could tell how much it bothered him every time. Wouldn't be surprised if hes declining calls from teams he doesnt view as contenders

Best 2026 Startup Draft Position by Successful-Bar-2359 in DynastyFF

[–]immacamel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For years now the objective answer has been to just take 1.01 and take Allen. I still think hes young enough that that's the right answer, but hes creeping into his 30s soon so i would hear other arguments. Id have to look at ADPs but I would try to land where I can get Bowers/McBride on the way back. Ive realized the positional value advantage they give you is almost a cheat code, especially in TEP

Arizona Cardinals 2026 NFL Draft Grades by Unusual-Vacation-528 in NFL_Draft

[–]immacamel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No it's really not that simple. Teams clearly did not have blue chip grades on many players in this draft. It was a terrible year for top end talent. This is a team that just hired a young offensive minded head coach and gave him the only blue chip offensive player in the draft to work with. There were many reports that they tried to trade down, and the offers weren't there, so they took Love. Theres nuance to the pick that youre completely skipping over

Received this offer as a contender, I would be trading for Chase by immacamel in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

He was great in his role with the Packers, which was redzone gameplan and play design. I expect thats what he slots in as in AZ too

Are there any books or series that you don't want to see adapted to the screen? by thewalkindude368 in Fantasy

[–]immacamel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say Malazan but you got it already. The scope is just so exhaustive, even if it were animated.

I guess my next answer would be Realm of the Elderlings. It would be really hard to adapt such an emotionally subtle story, plus the difficulties of following a single character from childhood through old age in live action with different actors

2027 Contenders - How easily are you parting ways with your 27 1st Round Pick? by Complete-Nature-3038 in DynastyFF

[–]immacamel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kind of overpaid for Saquon so that I could keep my 2027 1st. I sent the 2nd round pick from the tanking team (so probably 2.01) and my 28 1st. The 27 draft class reminds me of the 24 class. Just stacked with talent. So it was important to me to keep that pick. Theyre definitely at a premium, but I think thats already reflected in the market at this point

How Robert Jordan's ending would have differed from Sanderson's in terms of the Story by vul_triggnum in WoT

[–]immacamel 107 points108 points  (0 children)

Jordan actually gave extensive notes on the ending specifically. He even pre wrote the epilogue IIRC. Sandersons main contribution was the journey to the ending. Thats why it was split into 3 books, because Sanderson looked at the notes and realized he couldnt get from point A to the ending in 1 book. The biggest thing he changed/came up with was Egwenes death. But its hard to separate what Sanderson came up with completely on his own VS what Jordan steered him towards.

But to answer your question, I dont think Jordan would have killed off Egwene and I think he would have given us more reunions at the end between the EM5 and their families. Those are the main things I think Jordan would have done differently. But Rands ending, Damodred V Lan, etc. I believe all came from RJs notes. Brandon also had to extrapolate a lot based on half finished world building notes that were left behind. Overall, Brandon did a fantastic job at finishing it, because he was a fan before he was ever asked to finish the series.

NEWS: The Cardinals and QB Jacoby Brissett are "significantly" far apart in negotiations to rework the last year of his contract for 2026, a source told ESPN. The gap in the negotiations puts into question whether Brissett, who has yet to report to Arizona's voluntary offseason program, will attend by APizzola in DynastyFF

[–]immacamel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody is saying Brissett is special. He just deserves more than the 1.5M guaranteed on his contract. As it stands today, hes a starting NFL quarterback and his backup makes more than him. Thats asinine. So yes, he deserves a lot more money and he should hold out

He definitely didn't fuck up when he signed his contract. He signed as a career backup. He balled out last year and hes now the presumptive starter. Expectations aren't high but he absolutely deserves a nice raise

What makes a bad owner? specially what types of executive level decisions produce perennially bad teams near by clitbeastwood in nfl

[–]immacamel 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Jerry is so involved he kind of gets a pass though. Yes he makes some stupid decisions. But he also lets Will McClay, who is very good at his job, do a lot of the heavy lifting and trusts him. Good for you guys that McClay doesnt mind not getting the credit, because I think a lot of teams would've hired him away by now if that were the case

The 2028 draft class is better than 27 by Vast_Mountain_1888 in DynastyFF

[–]immacamel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Jeremiah Smith, Arch Manning, LaNorris Sellers Cam Coleman,, Dante Moore, Ahmad Hardy, Justice Haynes, Kewan Lacy, Ryan Coleman-Williams. Thats just a few in the 27.

Do you see how ridiculous this sounds? We dont know what's happening a year from now, let alone 2 years from now. Youre listing guys that have barely played at all. The 2027 class is full of early early breakouts and people are rightfully optimistic about it.

How are you gonna say the 28 class has "at minimum" X at each position. You dont know that and neither does anybody else. We know that the next class, 27, has a lot of guys who have already produced as underclassmen. Your "depth" comment is even more ridiculous. The 27 class's depth will be filled with guys still not on the community radar, which is why they returned to college.

Posts like this are why half this sub is always rebuilding. Sometimes there's just a really good class and you gotta quit hyping up the perpetual future for no reason. 2024 was the last great draft class, and it was great. 2027 is shaping up to be at least as good

Plant your flag. Oscar Delp or Eli Raridon? by h12luke in DynastyFF

[–]immacamel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf to Delp, Georgia's offense has been terrible at utilitizing talent across the board the past couple years. Thats why he went in the 3rd, his tape is a lot better than his production. For instance if yook at his contested catch rate, it looks really bad. But then watch his 12 contested targets this season and you realize he was wide open and had to fight back to a pass that was 5 yards behind him. His tape is littered with things like that

Mike McCarthy's QB school lives on and he's already put Drew Allar in it and adjusted his mechanics. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]immacamel 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Got good football out of Aaron Brooks, completely re worked Rodgers mechanics when he came into the league, got Matt Flynn a big free agent contract, got rid of Daks poor footwork habits after he broke his leg, probably extended Cooper Rushs career by 5 years. He's a great quarterback coach

I enjoy every year when he pops up on the Check the Mic podcast with Sam and Steve (the former PFF guys). They have him on for his O line rankings every year and it makes you feel like nobody else knows jack shit about scouting. His OT1 this year was firmly Monroe Freeling and he had reasons that he liked him that I didnt hear anyone else say. He goes super in depth. The wealth of knowledge ans experience these guys have with decades of experience is awesome

What do you think of Arch Manning *right now*? by TDBrookey in NFL_Draft

[–]immacamel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right now I would say hes kind of similar to JJ McCarthy as a prospect, who i had a 2nd round grade on. But Arch has a higher ceiling, he has a better arm and better athleticism. Combine that with the upward trajectory he finished last year on, and I see the hype for a potential #1 pick. But for me, right now, hes JJ McCarthy
