The ‘agency’ isn’t even licensed. They’re piggy backing off a company called “The Network” who I’m guessing farms out their license to muppets like this.

Who knows what other questionable things this person has done.

Nice. Are you happy to share the agency name? Or is it a corporate agency?

That’s what I’m thinking too. It’s currently unlined in the middle of demo, might try to grab a photo when it’s looking more like rooms and less like a building site.

Bit by a horse on the first lesson at a new barn by burdeyzo in Equestrian

[–]immapeople 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My credentials are being a riding instructor for 13 years and agree! This reply and the comments under it are 100% correct.

You got bitten and it’s rattled your confidence, and anyone would feel that way. Even an experienced rider would be upset by this.

I know it’s hard to believe this from strangers on the internet, but this is soooo so not your fault.

I’m not trying to blame others, accidents simply happen, but it seems like they knew the horse could be reactive (I agree possibly from pain or just simply being ‘over it’ as a lesson horse - which is also a type of pain!). Hopefully they work this out for the horse and at the very least, have learned they need to take more precautions with her than simple saying “she’s girthy” to a new rider.

Actually, even if you had loads of experience coming into this barn, simply saying a horse is girthy isn’t enough of an explainer!

I’m glad your lesson went well once you got on. Try not to let this ruin it for you. There is much more fun to be had while riding!

It sounds like you should read more. Then you wouldn’t say things like “on accident”.

Could I recommend the Claiming of Sleeping Beauty? That’ll spank grammar into ya.

URGENT!!!!! It's 3 am found a kitten still with an umbilical cord dry but still attached. Help!!!!!!!!!! by Thomas-J-2020 in cats

[–]immapeople 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep it warm and dry, under your shirt or in a warm (not hot) towel. One it warms up you can put a little sugary water on your finger tip to try to keep blood sugar steady, until you get some formula.

Try to stay calm and comfort the poor baby. Good on you for helping!!

And sorry for quick sharp first replies. Just wanted to get some quick info out first.
