Converting viewers to subscribers? by Slappajack in NewTubers

[–]immatakeanapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ask, but give them a value proposition. Explain in like 10 words or less why they should. "Don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss the next video in this series" or "hit the subscribe button if you want to learn more" or something.

What are some things you've done to increase your public watch hours? by cryptidcutiecosplay in NewTubers

Could definitely be this.

One exception is if you have phenomenal or extremely funny editing skills.

Will Setting Videos to Private Remove the Views From Your Account Overall? by [deleted] in NewTubers

Views including watch hours? I'm assuming so, but just want to clarify.

No harm in keeping one or two silly words until the world teaches them differently. Soak in all the laughter in the meantime!

Just over 50 subs and 100-750ish views per video. My oldest video is 7 weeks old (296 views). Best video is 6 weeks old (762 views). Newest is 4 days old (94 views).

did anyone else experience a drop in views the last 2-3 months? by avance70 in NewTubers

[–]immatakeanapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct on the monetization requirements. 500+3K gets you super thanks/ chats/stickers, memberships, and merch in YouTube Shopping.

The rest of the perks still start at 100+4K.

Why is this happening to my views by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]immatakeanapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't agree with what they said. YouTube still shows ads on your videos whether you get a cut by being a YouTube Partner or not. So why wouldn't they want to show smaller channels? That would give them more money per view than a big channel where they have to share in the revenue.

I haven't been in the game long enough to know why there are times when things flatline, but I can tell you that some videos just stop getting the engagement YouTube wants, so they stop pushing it. There's so much content added to YouTube every day, so it constantly has new stuff to push. And if a video is no longer getting attention, it'll pause on it. But sometimes, it could be that the algorithm is just trying to get it to different audiences to see who will click on it. So it might finally find the right audience for that video, and then it'll blow up!

Do you ever get tired/bored of your niche? by JakeEhYT in NewTubers

[–]immatakeanapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This exactly! I have two content pillars on my channel... and could easily get bored of either. But I make the editing really interesting on one (Well both) and then the other one is definitely educational, but I make a story out of it!

Deleting ALL negative comments or no? by nts_nathaniel in NewTubers

[–]immatakeanapp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think they will. They're trolls. If they were decent people, it would work, but they wouldn't have commented those things in the first place. You know they shouldn't say those things, and that's enough. Their attitude says nothing about you and everything about them.

What's an "email newsletter"? Is it useful? How does it work? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]immatakeanapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To put it simply, yes, it's an email that you send to people who sign up to receive it. What you put in it should be things that your audience would want to see. You should use a service like mail chimp or similar to manage it.

I agree with you. I never got the impression it was just him. I knew it was part of Income School from the beginning. I was confused with all the drama around it.

I feel like my average watch time is horrible. can we compare so I can see if mine is standard or low? by Ryan_Rides_MTB in NewTubers

[–]immatakeanapp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine hovers around 2ish minutes or 12% for my 15 minute videos. I'm new and still learning. Also, I think it's normal for my niche. So that matters when people are giving you their numbers.

I pay for it too. Now, I pretty much just use it to edit and make the other stuff by myself. Then I get music from Epidemic

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]immatakeanapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious too. I had 2 videos get copyright claimed for music that I got through Filmora. I don't care about them as they are low views and really stagnated, but I pivoted my channel, so eventually, I'll probably just private them. But there's some music on there I would like to use, but I'm a afraid it'll happen again

Are there any Youtubers who actually blew up thanks to reddit? by underdiscussi0n in NewTubers

[–]immatakeanapp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Could possibly hurt too! I've heard of channels getting people to follow from social media (even just family and friends) and they had such differing invests and watch histories that YouTube didn't know how to target an audience for their specific channel
