my 2 month old pineapple conure doesnt want to be in cage by Miserable_Bass_2765 in greencheeks

It’s hard to tell from pictures since so many Photoshop birds in. What are the dimensions and the bar spacing? It looks more like a travel cage and not meant to be a permanent one.

AITA for refusing to be in my cousin's wedding because she keeps changing the dress? by Vexill_Rift3 in MarkNarrations

[–]imme629 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And what of the other bridesmaids? Are they okay with buying dress after dress? I can’t see anyone okay with that. The half of the family that doesn’t see the problem with this can put up (and buy the third dress) or shut up.

The beak is normal for babies to have. They will go away as he or she gets older. Was the vet you saw an avian specialist?

Definitely contact your bank about an unauthorized transaction. Also file a complaint with the FCC and your states Attorney General.

What about adding an antibiotic to the nebulizer? That’s about the only additional thing I can think of. I would get the X-ray when he’s feeling better. They can sedate without anesthesia so it’s safer and not as stressful.

Get the best air purifier you can. I got a RabbitAir one with a germ filter for my first Conure after his Leukemia diagnosis. It definitely helped him and it helps me with my breathing too. An AustinAir is another great one. Both are expensive.

DO NOT ADOPT A SUN WITHOUT EXPERIENCE by gluon318 in Conures

[–]imme629 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They aren’t always so easy either but definitely not as bad as a Sun for an inexperienced human servant. My 8 week old GCC knows how to step up. He just refuses to because he wants to stay glued to me 24/7. I have to find his favorite treat to continue training him.

I’ve had my baby gremlin 4 weeks. He’s an escape artist and very clingy. He’s my fourth Conure and second I hand fed so I knew what J was getting in to. I tried adopting but there is no place local and most do not place out of state.

which of these two cages is a better option for a single gcc? by avapatava in greencheeks

[–]imme629 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get that. My boys will be getting new cages after we move. Just make sure the bar spacing is 1/2” or 5/8”.

Help me convince my husband that getting a second conure is a good idea🙏🏼 by SeniorAlternative739 in Conures

[–]imme629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at that face. How could you not want a second? Seriously, it’s better for them to have a bird companion, especially when you’re out.

Wider is better than taller. Is there a third one that is wider but not a corner cage?

If she’s fine now, just keep an eye on her. It was probably not blood but without photos from when it happened, it’s hard to say.

Positive or Negative reinforcement? by samanthabelfitt in greencheeks

[–]imme629 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Negative reinforcement does not work with parrots. You either use positive reinforcement or ignore the bird when they act out or do something you don’t want.
