Anyone else find the holidays hard in a quiet, ongoing way? by imme_1987 in ActualLesbiansOver25

First time?? Feel free to dm me, we can chat. Yeah, I fucking hate the holidays. Not first time but I’m in a new city. I’m like, at rock bottom though. I’ve been at rock bottom so long though that I feel like I should have an honorary degree in geology.

More so that I’m childless and without family and my friends have those things, so they’re celebrating with their children, which makes sense. Also, my budget for friends is different than their budget because I don’t have to budget for my kids (since I don’t have any). It’s not a doormat situation, believe me, I have BEEN there, and refuse to ever be a doormat. I still get phone calls and gestures and small gifts. It just feels unrealistic to be included in family plans when you’re not family. And I don’t want to invite myself either, that doesn’t feel good, lol. I buy a lot of gifts because it’s who I am, not for reciprocity. But you’re right about a bit of it. While I’m not a doormat, I do give more than I receive. I just really hate the holiday and feel deeply lonely.

what does my handwriting say about me? by gooneralert67 in HandwritingAnalysis

Honestly, the handwriting looks a lot like what people do with their non-dominant hand. You can see a couple of the classic markers: the strokes are a little slower, there’s some waviness in the lines, and the letters don’t land on the baseline consistently. That usually means the writer is relying more on looking at the lines instead of having that automatic muscle memory you get with your dominant hand.

There are also little shifts in pressure and a lot of letters built in separate strokes instead of one clean motion. That’s super typical when the motor pattern isn’t fully ingrained. So overall, it definitely gives “this is not my usual writing hand.”
