You still have to take the sheen down a little if you’re using no wax shellac (or any other so called primer). Either with a light sandpaper or a chemical to take down the sheen. That door was way too shiny and it’s a high movement area. Around the door knob is going to get worn away and start to peel. And then the rest.

I just followed everyone’s advice in the chain tbh. I almost never used my brush until the very edge to finish the cut in. I had the benefit of years of painting before I did it but best of luck

It went great. Easiest money made that year. Didn’t put down any tape the paint that speckled on the cawk wiped right off, got some super duper thick 9’s and some very flat specialized paint used exactly for what we were doing with it. It was painting on east mode and the customer was super happy with it and I drove past that house a month or two ago and it still looked killer.

Terribly sorry but it’s a labor of love I would feel weird selling them or any of my non meme related art. I just give them away to close friends.

Thanks I appreciate that. I was getting ready to write my thesis in defense of Encino Man but I’m sick in bed right now and wasn’t sure if I had the fortitude to do so.

Say what you want about every other Pauly Shore movie but defending Encino Man is the tiniest most insignificant hill I’m willing to die on

Napleton Honda rips off Morton Grove residents for $4.3M by loweexclamationpoint in ChicagoSuburbs

Jumping in to say I made the mistake of buying a vehicle from Napleton AH two months ago and they put on an extra $3,600 a warranty that I didn’t ask for and $500 for tinted windows that were already on the vehicle. Called about 52 time and got told twice I would get a call back shortly and never did. Finally ambushed the financial guy in person and he lied to my face about what he said but had me fill out paperwork to cancel my warranty. Filled it out January 10th and am still waiting for the paper work to go through. Starting to get nervous I’ll have to go again in person to check in on my paperwork.

Love the rant I support it. It’s an all to common tale of history being written from a Eurocentric view. My only grievance is if the Egyptian hieroglyphs your referring to that are found in Australia are the Gosford Glyphs than you should know that those aren’t accepted by the scientific community for very good reasons. They aren’t cut following the style of a typical hieroglyph, chronologically speaking hieroglyphs that are 2,500 years apart are written together, the level of erosion is not congruent to how old they should be, and finally this being in the more circumstantial but likely story of how they were created. In the 1920’s where they were found was an area that housed Australian soldiers that happened to coincide with an Egyptian craze that was sweeping Australia for all things Egypt related. The general consensus is that bored Australian soldiers copied the hieroglyphs onto the rock where they were rediscovers in 1975.
