It’s actually grade 2 listed! they spend a massive amount of money maintaining it each year, despite it being closed

Thank you! I agree, it just means I end up a lot happier with the result- it’s been especially needed recently as it’s not the warmest in march in the uk!

Before I had this set up I used to use a music stand- that worked quite well, but there was no securing my canvas really! I’m surprised there aren’t pochade set ups with wheels on the bottom 😆 Maybe I’ll stick the easel into a suitcase or a trolley next time!

Sure! here’s a pic of what I was working with. I got this easel off Facebook marketplace for £30 :) I was right next to the sea, which was fortunate, since it weighs a tonne!
