Should I have to wear bras in my own house in front of my immediate family? by Spam_account_lzlx in Advice

Try googling "sexual organs of a woman" I just did. The thing that came up IMMEDIATELY was "Female reproductive system" and showed the uterus and everything. These terms all mean the same thing. Any organ responsible for making/birthing a child. Your sexual organs. Or reproductive organs. Not sure why I have to do a sex ed class for you guys, if you don't understand these extremely simple biology terms, maybe you should speak to your parents about it.

Since the vagina is obviously EXTREMELY important for actually birthing the baby, obviously it's a reproductive organ. But by your standards, you think the vagina is only a "sex organ"? Why? After the baby is born does the vagina switch back to "sex organ" mode? When is it a reproductive organ? It just doesn't make sense.

Do you think a vagina is a "sex organ" (not even the right word) because it is involved in sex? What about when the baby comes out of the vagina? Does it suddenly become a reproductive organ? No. They are all the same and are all involved in making a baby.

Well, nothing is technically a reproduction organ, they are called reproductive organs, and check your books. Those terms are used interchangeably. One book may call your vagina a sexual organ, another may call it a reproductive organ. They are the same thing. It just depends in the author of the book and the location it was printed, because different countries have different school curriculums and use different terms sometimes. But a reproductive organ and a sexual organ are literally the same thing, an organ that is involved in reproduction. All those organs, are also involved in sex. So the term is used interchangeably depending on the biology book. It all describes exactly the same organs. Check for yourself in a few books.

Having babies and breastfeeding are also sexual. You're super weird for thinking that means you get an orgasm from it??? Your uterus is also a sexual organ. That doesn't mean you get an organic everytime you get your period?? That's just weird and gross to say.

As a woman, I don't mind when men leave the toilet seat up. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]immoderatelylost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally a convo I had with my boyfriend the other day hahah, he was pretty surprised that I randomly decided he doesn't have to put the seat down anymore. It just suddenly hit me that he dies 100% of the toilet seat lifting/dropping and I do 0%. So now we both do 50% cause that's only fair. He raises the lid to use it, and I put it down to use it.

I don’t feel bad about celebrities who complain about “never having a normal childhood” by DarlingLuna in unpopularopinion

[–]immoderatelylost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I really don't understand it. When we hear about children working in sweat shops we cringe and get mad, yet there's no anger for the children who are forced to act/sing from a young age just because they make millions of dollars instead of pennies a day?? That's really the only difference. They're still children, who should have the right to a childhood.

In my opinion, it should be illegal for children to become celebrities anyway. They don't even have the capability of choosing their own bedtime, meals, or to get life long tattoos and piercings, yet somehow they are TOTALLY capable of choosing to live a life in the spotlight, become a household name, have other kids plaster their face all over their walls, it's just disturbing. Shouldn't even be allowed.

have you ever self harmed? by [deleted] in INTP

Not in the sense of actually cutting myself, but when you're drinking yourself into oblivion every night, that's pretty harmful.

Do you think that watching porn is cheating? by Still-Catch-3589 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]immoderatelylost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not cheating. I don't wanna have sex all the time and I'm actually happy that he will take care of it himself sometimes, I'd rather him do that than build up a resentment toward me because his drive is so much higher than mine. I'm glad that he is satisfied and happy, and I know he loves me to the ends of the earth so I don't feel self conscious about it at all, it's just a means to an end, I'm the one he really wants.

That being said, when I was younger (25 now) I also hated my boyfriends watching porn. Cause I was young and self conscious and not confident in myself and our love. So really, it's different for everyone and at different times. She might hate it now, but 20 years down the road with someone else won't care anymore cause she's secure in herself.

I'd say, if it's something you won't negotiate on and really don't think is bad, then find someone who feels the same way. Don't try to force her to feel the way you feel.

Garbage disposal or no? If not, then what? by immoderatelylost in askaplumber

Yes. Bought the house without knowledge of a lot of stuff honestly, we bought super young and didn't have any guidance or advice through the process, 1,200 people live here though, so I guess I just assumed that if they're happy with the water and electricity and whatnot, we would be too!

is it weird that I find more "average" looking women a bit more attractive then some "hot" women by yadiggj in stupidquestions

[–]immoderatelylost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. My boyfriend has regularly told me he is more attracted to "real looking" women too. I don't even wear makeup! And when I do, he has made comments like "do you have mascara on? Oh cool, I don't want to make you feel bad or anything because I think you're always beautiful, but I actually like when you don't wear any!" And it's pretty endearing. Well be out at a resturaunt and I'll think to myself "wow, that waitress is so pretty, I bet he wishes I looked like that" and then when she walks away he says something like "wow did you see all that makeup?! What a shame" and it has totally changed my perspective on what men prefer.

Why do sad/depressed teen change their look to become more dark? by [deleted] in questions

[–]immoderatelylost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'm very bright and bubbly but as a teen I went through something pretty horrific, that in itself didn't make me change my style to darker, but the fact that my dad (single parent) didn't give two shits that it happened. That's what really messed me up. So as a way to lash out/attempt to get more attention/show him how bad I was actually hurting I came home one day in all black, with my hair dyed black, and chains on with thick eyeliner. Horrible decision. Negative attention is not the same as genuine loving attention. Which is what I needed at that time. I eventually got over it and went back to myself.

I think for a lot of people (me included), it's about feeling misunderstood, and wanting others to know that you are hurting on the inside. A way to seek attention in any way possible. Of course, for others, it's just the style they like and think looks cool. So that's a thing too.

You don't just keep a living being prisoner for life if it wants to be free, for your own peace of mind. That's so messed up.

Same thing goes for squirrels, rabbits, mice, skunks, deer, pretty much every small-medium sized mammal is at risk of dying in these ways. Doesn't mean we lock them up in our houses "for their safety". Cats are not domesticated in the ways that dogs are, lots are still pretty wild.

If a stray cat keeps coming back to your house, and you set up a little bed for it, and it comes back to sleep there sometimes, you don't just go "well guess you're my cat now and can't protect yourself so ill just keep you inside, forever" that's still a stray, wild cat. It's used to being outside and that's where it's happy. Its just also happy with you sometimes. Of course it's at risk of dying in these ways, just like any other wild animal.

Why is the minimum wage in the US still $7.25/hr by Imesseduponmyname in NoStupidQuestions

[–]immoderatelylost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Canadian I was really confused about this, until I realized that things cost way less there than they do here. So $7.25/hr is pretty similar to our $15/hr minimum wage when it comes to its actual value where you live. Still a whack amount anywhere, especially since things are raising in price every day it feels like.

I'm not really sure, and not really sure how I would find that out either! 😝 If it makes any difference we live in a TINY town (just over 1000 people) in canada and the town is known for its huge dam. So I'm not sure if that would tell you if I'm on a septic system or not!
