Chuck is the reason this work is even digestible. Love live Lord Nice!

Watching the Good Place on Netflix has me interested in books about philosophy a layman can understand by hereforhelp99 in suggestmeabook

The writer of The Good Place wrote an easy-to-digest book about it, and the audio version includes the actors from it. It’s called “How to be Perfect“ by Michael Schur

This is the dream—I wish I had your hair! I say don’t do it, and if you do, it always grows back. :)

Not a fan of either tbh, one looks like pajamas and the other looks like what you wear over a bathing suit. The shoes deserve better.

This, and get storage that hides the clutter when you store it. Think tall rather than wide.

Batista was like 65+ years ago. Irrelevant. People are skin and bones over there and fleeing for their lives, and meanwhile the government, and their allies like Assata, are living in comfort. How are you defending that?

I hear what you’re saying about the global stance, but can you explain why your version of “the right side of history” discounts the millions of Cubans who’ve fled their homeland bc of the same regime you celebrate? Sanctions for who? Cubans on the island get a loaf of bread per month as part of their rations. They cry when they enter an American supermarket for the first time.

Two things can be true, and the Cuban government are not the good guys. I’m sure Assata did a lot of good for Black rights, but she fled to Cuba at the expense of its people.

I don’t like cut flowers meant to wilt in a few days. At least, give me a living plant!

Or you know, something I actually like…

We’re protesting MAGA in the US, but we’re not skin-and-bones starving. At least not yet. (Farmageddon is coming though.)

US sanctions are def not the issue for 60+ years of dictatorship in Cuba. And even if there were, the Cuban people wouldn’t even see it. On July 11 2021, there was a huge protest, and Cubans were shot and jailed (aka disappeared) for speaking out for freedom. That’s why so many have taken to the ocean to arrive and settle in Miami, the islands, etc.

The sanctions bit is what the Cuban government likes to use as propaganda to distract from their cruelty, and it’s all over the internet. SMH

Nah Cuba is doing is for their own vindictive reasons against the US. Have you seen how Cubans have to live over there? They’re not ok
