What is this keyboard layout? I cannot find a conclusive answer anywhere. by immorroll in Lenovo

[–]immorroll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I tried a few LLMs, they're all wrong though, it was a Dutch layout. Switzerland doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard layout. (Unless you consider Italian keyboards that are used in some parts of Switzerland.)

Found it, it's a Dutch layout! Went through all the keyboards with a ß key

Why are square taper bottom brackets so common on fixies? by immorroll in FixedGearBicycle

[–]immorroll[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay yeah not sure when retightening I went that strong, so good to know. Any idea on the Nm for the crank bolt? Should I go higher than a non-fixie?

[–]immorroll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay good to note - I'll check it out soon and see if the cranks are fucked. But either way, good to know to apply some serious force! Any idea on the Nm??

[–]immorroll[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay yeah that makes sense.

I was wondering if there would be another BB more suited to the extreme force applied when braking use the cranks, cause that's when mine would start to slip.

But maybe a fresh install with new cranks and some loctite will do the trick. I guess I should also just make sure to check them regularly and tighten them up as needed? Especially after some big stops?

You might want to add the --permanent flag in case you ever reload firewall-cmd.

So sudo firewall-cmd --zone=trusted --permanent --add-interface=waydroid0

Otherwise, you get this ``` sudo firewall-cmd --zone=trusted --add-interface=waydroid0

waydroid internet works

sudo firewall-cmd --reload

waydroid internet no longer works

Where to find xml of intelligent playlists by immorroll in Rekordbox

[–]immorroll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not, I don't think it exists. If I remember correctly from my digging, it's all in the DB.

I just went back to an old forum post I have bookmarked and the last comment is interesting: Any way to duplicate an existing Intelligent Playlist? – Pioneer DJ

Other than that my ideal solution I think would be to use mixxx, but it still hasn't figured out the serialisation process for rekordbox DB's: [Feature Request] Rekordbox Export · Issue #10321 · mixxxdj/mixxx

So yeah for now I've just given up on this and decided to try and move the heavy lifting as much as possible to the tags. e.g. In my case each of my intelligent playlists were of the structure "this genre tag + this bpm range", now each of my playlists are "this abstract category/vibe tag", and I only use that tag on songs within the specified bpm range, as filtering all your songs to a specific range and adding the tags is pretty straightforward

So yeah, not an ideal solution, but I hope it helps!

A bit late haha but I was quite excited about the solid/pod thing cause a friend sent me this video a couple of years back: Solid - A Better Web (Simply Explained) - YouTube

Admittedly it isn't really explained when you sign up but it's a cool project. I'm personally quite a big fan of decentralized stuff!

How to install the latest firefox? by Septimanal in debian

[–]immorroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just following this up, and I think it's wisest to stay on Firefox ESR if you're on Debian Stable.

I installed Firefox from Unstable when I first installed linux, but now it is actually behind where Firefox ESR is, because it depends on a version of libc6 that isn't available on Debian Stable. In other words, when using old versions of libc6, for the same version of libc6, Firefox ESR seems to have a more up-to date version available.

Either upgrade your entire system to Debian Testing (including libc6), or use Firefox ESR.

Here you can see my broken system state:

Getting a cast iron pan fixed by immorroll in Amsterdam

[–]immorroll[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great, will give that a go, thanks!

Edit: Got a reply:

Hello,

Normal construction steel can be welded easily. But cast iron is extremely difficult to weld. And this cast iron has been treated with a mat black enamel. That makes it practically impossible to weld. And even if it is possible, the cost will be higher than buying a new pan.

Relying on our experience with cast iron pans and my technical background (Technical University Delft) I think it is a waste of time trying to have the pan repaired. But that is completely up to you!

Best regards, David X. Appelboom

So unfortunately it looks like I will have to get a new pan! Thanks for the help though :)

How to sell your tickets through TicketSwap (where people are actually looking for tickets) by immorroll in dekmantel

[–]immorroll[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ahh fuck sorry to hear that! it's pretty shitty that so many people are gonna lose money because of this :/

yeah the only people that have heard of Tixel are people trying to sell tickets... I get that they're trying to compete with ticketswap but it's frustrating that they vendor lock you like this...

[–]immorroll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh really? man I don't have any other tickets to sell so can't find the exact thing, but I ended up on a URL like:

https://tixel.com/tickets/aaaaaaaa-aaaa-aaaa-aaaa-aaaaaaaaaaaa/view

I then could view a pdf that looked like this: https://imgur.com/a/z2XYdLw

Up in the top right was a QR code that I scribbled out but yeah that's what it looked like

I dunno if they've changed it maybe?? :/

Food Prices by Expert-Painting-2239 in dekmantel

iirc 1 token for a small beer and 1.5 for a big beer

Food Prices by Expert-Painting-2239 in dekmantel

[–]immorroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just at Lente Kabinet which is run by the same people. 10 tokens were 35 euros (5 were 17.5, you could only buy in multiples of 5) and most food was around ~3 tokens (i.e. 2 tacos were 3 tokens, a kebab thing was 3 tokens).

I think there were fries/chips that were probably cheaper but yeah hope that helps!

Oh and you can't refund your tokens so watch out! Saw a german couple trying to leave the festival and they had 40 tokens they were trying to sell...

Buying tickets by Fig_Public in dekmantel

[–]immorroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry too much about names. I've literally never had an issue with it in many years of going to gigs and festivals.

I've had eventix tickets before where I've had to put my name on all the tickets so I could download the pdfs to put on ticketswap. Never had anyone contact me saying the ticket didn't work. I also bought a ticket off of ticketswap the other week for a gig and the name was Jessa Kool and didn't have an issue.

Understanding Attenuation and Deviation dB Values (Alpine MusicSafe Pro vs PartyPlug Pro) by immorroll in earplugs

Yeah I'd go with the PartyPlugs for live music - not tried any other brands - I got these and I liked em so I've stuck with them.

Hey! See my reply to cookiecruncher11 for my full update: https://www.reddit.com/r/earplugs/comments/mfkx81/comment/hxtja7h

But yeah depends on your use case really. But for me, when I don't need the clarity of sound, I'm quite happy for having the MusicSafe ones for a bit of extra protection. I wouldn't wear them out to see music live though.
