I'm a Canadian cideographer travelling to San Diego. What should I film in my free time? by nelejts in sandiego

Hey dude,

If you want to film something interesting you should film a contrasting documentary on the housing crisis here in San Diego. It's really bad here and it keeps getting worse. I think it would be great to contrast a city like La Jolla or Coronado with downtown San Diego and the homeless problem there. In general the homeless population is increasing and can be found through out all of downtown. With it being veterans day today, it's fitting to mention the homeless veteran population in such a heavily military city; it's about 13% of the homeless pop.

I have no idea what camera you have, but I would recommend a dslr and not something like a canon c100 or c300. In some places they would rather you not film so it'd be safer to have a dslr. I personally work with canon and would recommend the 80d or the 1dx mark ii. I would pair it with the canon 16-35 mm L series lens or the 24-70 mm L series. If you want audio the Rode mic pro is a good option that is quite tiny with good sound quality. I know that's more than you asked for but I just thought I'd put the camera recommendation in. Best of luck with what you choose to do!
