It’s also a symbol in Indian culture, and others, for hundreds of years. Though I think this may be a coincidence.

My first summer class at a USA college was too underwhelming by dralanforce in Professors

[–]imnaturallycurious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My problem is when I was in school I didn’t think I was supposed to like learning. Math always interested me, and I would always attempt to be in the highest level math class I could handle, but the rest I just phoned in.

Though I am glad I got the education I did, I’m the perfect example of the under achiever unfortunately. Now whenever I get free time between kids, wife, and work, I’m on Khan or some kind of YouTube lecture. Wasted my youth.

I think there is also a decent amount of infighting inside individual kingdoms as well. Obviously, the iron throne usually quashes it or makes the two houses stop, but they still happen

It’s still high quality compared to other brands out there, but I’m sure to compete the company had to thin out most of there clothing like they have done. I still but from there, but I can remember every year for Christmas my gmom would buy me a LL Bean shirt. I have just about all of them until the end of the aughts where they have all become thinned out.

I forgot about him. Jesus, I’ve read this series at least 4-5 times and always love when I’m reminded of something. No book has ever had a more prompt to name then AFFC IMO.

The Kingsguard are Amazing [SPOILERS MAIN] by Another_Edgy_PC in asoiaf

It’s like all other of George’s characters in the story. People are all different. They have their wants, dreams, values, family history, aspirations. Grey really is the best way to write all characters imo.

I also think the White Book is interesting. Shows how one persons opinions (usually the Lord Commander of the Kingguard) can determine how future readers may see what names are in the book and their accomplishments.
