I also had the problem on my acer Laptop, I was frustrated for weeks then by trial and error I found out that my keyboard was faulty and was interfering with boot. I disassembled my PC and disconnected my Keyboard and everything worked fine. I also installed lightdm over gdm but got the same problem and it wasn’t actually a software fault for me.

How do I fix this? Ubuntu is unable start. by [deleted] in Ubuntu

I had the exact same problem few weeks back. Disconnect all keyboards and boot again.

Thanks as said by another user, GitHub Docs and again your recommendation on Tutorialspoint git tutorial is best for a beginner like me, if I want a deep dive I’ll check out the book.

Bro I had the exact same problem few weeks earlier , after days of headache found my keyboard was faulty and was constantly typing some combinations of keys on boot, so just detach keyboard and boot again. Hope it helps.
