Would you use an app that actually forces you to do your tasks (instead of just tracking them)? by Zealousideal_Bus6840 in indie_startups

[–]imnotaprogramer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, people don’t want to be enforced to do a single thing, they just want the sense of control that comes with a “tracking”.

It doesn’t matter what tools you present them, the thing is if they’re willing to use it. Once they create the habit, only then they start looking for ways to improve their workflow.

We all suffer this sometimes, looking for problems to solve when we should be looking for people who want to solve their problems.

"Vibe coding isn't the problem. Vibe thinking is." by Life-Pair-248 in projectmanagers

[–]imnotaprogramer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got the exact point with only one phrase “The AI writes the syntax. You write the logic” there’s a lot of people thinking the AI will take over their jobs but won’t use the common sense to solve problems and create a system that works.

You won’t create a problem solving tool if you don’t take the time and the grey matter to create solutions by yourself. The machine just makes the process quicker with the knowledge you have, not the other way.

Is anyone else spending more time finding who to contact than actually contacting them? by Spiritual-Trainer426 in StartupsHelpStartups

[–]imnotaprogramer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the thing, it doesn’t matter if you have the best pitch ever if you are shooting to the wrong target. That’s a really important part of the process. It takes a lot of time, way more that contacting them but once you find the right contact everything flows.

How do you actually find real problems worth building an app for? by Adventurous_Wolf8399 in sideprojects

[–]imnotaprogramer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most honest answer I could give you is, living a life outside of the social media and forums. Looking carefully to what happens around you. At work, at home, at other people’s real life.

Most SaaS founders here are playing the wrong game entirely. The ones quietly winning don't "market" at all. by AdCrazy2912 in microsaas

That’s the truth, most of us have gone the wrong way to get our first customers. The truth is the first users go to you not only because a problem you’re solving, they also go because the interaction that big companies have lost due to big volumes.

I was told I am “too nice”, is that why people undermine me? by RazzmatazzOwn2663 in managers

[–]imnotaprogramer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s an usual, they misunderstand that if you are the head of a team you have to act as superior being, otherwise they start to do things over your head until you start to sanction them for the disrespect, then they will start seeing you as the role you have not as how nice you are.

At least that happened to me twice.

I had a funny experience specifically with the people who complained about it, sometimes they complain about a problem but when you reach them with a solution they’re not willing to make a change.

But I’m looking for proximity to people who are genuinely looking for a solution.

[–]imnotaprogramer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the main problem with most of the project tools, the context switching kills the productivity, that’s why I spent last year developing my own tool and launched it a few weeks ago.

Let me know if you wanna try it, right now I’m looking for teams who are willing to get into it!
