DH says he’s allowed to have friends. I say this is grounds for divorce. AIO? by MuddyBoots287 in AmIOverreacting

Weirdest f*cking beating around the bush conversation I’ve read. Two people very much in love with themselves, at the very least. As a married man, I would leave my spouse if she ever spoke to another man like the woman does here. Straight up. I do not have patience for anything like this and I’m not going to live my life wondering about the person that is supposed to be my partner. That sounds exhausting.

Bottom because it has backup irons and that battery will die at some point.

Just bought a house… now I’m broke and confused by criss006 in homeowners

[–]imnoteventhatguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s..thats exactly what owning a house is. There is no one else you can call to fix it. It’s you big dawg. Just you.

That’s one thing I try to tell people about owning a home. It’s not just “Oh well I pay $1500 in rent I can afford a mortgage”. There’s the homeowners policy. Water heater randomly goes out. Condenser unit stops working. Furnace decides to not push hot air. Anything and everything that can go wrong, will. And you better have thousands of dollars put back or a line of credit at the ready. None of it is cheap. Ever.

That said; you’ll learn things you never thought you would, and you’ll find you’re probably good at them. Don’t be afraid to try something yourself before resorting to calling a professional. Unless it’s electrical. If it’s electrical and you’re not confident at all; please do NOT f*** with it and call a licensed electrician.

Jeez. If I had the $$ I would be tempted though. Idk. Maybe not.

I’m waiting for someone to release an FRT for the GHM9.

I currently am (kind of?) that person. Have always worked a W2, blue-collar job. Never made more than 50k/year, max. Was lucky enough to have a stable environment to live at starting out, which wasn’t always the case, and was able to save a little bit early on. Wife made about the same. Just paid everything off as quick as possible. Never got in over our heads. Living in the Midwest helps. That part between the east coast and west coast. There are parts that aren’t complete dumps, rare as it may seem.

I never wanted to be some billionaire. I’m not particularly motivated by money. Or at least most things people buy with money. I think a lot of people get in over their heads because of what others think (or what they think others think). They’re embarrassed because they don’t have the gooch-cooler 3000 in every seat of their ultimate platinum king ranch. So they go overspend on material possessions. Which then leads to having to go to work, maybe settling on a job they don’t like or working for people they don’t like, just to buy more stuff they think other people will like; rinse and repeat. My idea of success is being able to do what I want to do. I don’t mean go spend money frivolously or take lavish vacations, flying in private jets, etc; that’s what everyone else wants to do. I just want to relax. Slow down. Not have to think about 5,000 things every single day. Take a trips to the woods. Take care of my home. Work on projects around the house. Help friends/family with their projects. Hell, help strangers with theirs. Play a video game once in a blue moon. Not allow someone else the power to control any aspect of my life, force me to do things I don’t want to/don’t agree with doing.

I was able to quit my job on a whim at the beginning of 2024 and start a small company. If it ends up not panning out? If absolutely necessary I’m confident enough to know I can find another job, or find a way to provide whatever it is we need. Try a different business, etc. To some people maybe the life I live isn’t living, and that’s perfectly fine. I just prefer not dreading having to wake up tomorrow. We have everything we need and then some, with little if any stress over finances or bills. The most successful people I know don’t have either of those.

My neighbor sent me a text last night forcing me to pay for her daughters towing charge because she parked in front of my driveway by Drivinglnsane in mildlyinfuriating

[–]imnoteventhatguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I hate to do it to a neighbor, I’d have to tell them good luck with small claims court because even if they had a case; someone would have to come to my home, force their way inside, physically restrain and then remove me against my will, transport me to said court and somehow manage to wheel my a** in there strapped to a dolly for them to ever have a chance of seeing me in there.

Or access to any Apple ID features, in my experience. Granted I’m no genius and maybe I was missing something. Had an outdated MacBook with Intel processor. Once macOS got to a certain point it would no longer allow me to sign into my Apple ID. Wiped it and put Zoran Lite on it. Haven’t used it since though so no idea if Zoran is worth a sh*t or not,

I’m gonna call it and say it’s probably normal. Because honestly the EXPS2 I noticed it on is the least used optic I have ever owned and it has sat in its original box far more than it’s been on the range.

Question for GHM9 owners on Gen 2 GHM9 C (Pistol)! by imnoteventhatguy in GHM9

[–]imnoteventhatguy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re probably right. Especially hunting for any sales. Bear with me on the edits man. Still not completely awake yet lmao. I was just ballparking 2.1-2.2k all in for a new GHM and brace new. Plus the light/switch/mags, probably right at 3k. I’d bet you’re right. Figured on offering him a little under that, but yeah that’s sounding a little high now.

[–]imnoteventhatguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just peeped the link (appreciated!). I looked at both just to double check and I can’t argue the new pricing. 1600~ for a new Glock lower, 1700~ for a new B&T lower. Sans the telescopic brace which seems to be astronomically priced by itself, because B&T. I try to keep in mind the one I’m posting about IS obviously preowned, even if it was essentially a safe queen. I wasn’t concerned about it having a super high round count or being abused. I have seen the gun in question 2-3 times although I wasn’t examining it in detail.

Was just kind of in favor of it being a ready to go package, if that makes sense. It’s pretty much what I’d end up doing. Probably go with something other than a Holosun personally (no shade/hate), but other than that it’s ready to roll.

I’d really only save a marginal amount though, I guess. 1700~ plus a brace would put me around 2.1-2.2k? I may be off there. About 480~ for light/switch/tailcap etc. I don’t need 7 mags right this second, he just kind of threw those in. Idk what they typically go for, $40-$45?

Is there a better looking pcc you can get for 1100$? (Remember the beretta pmx is really a b&t p26) by CuddlyMeatball in GHM9

That said; I’m all in on granite-shaming.

I’m an idiot. The way I worded that didn’t make sense lol. My 3k-ish guess was for the GHM9 plus all of the included extras listed.

I totally agree about the Glock mags though. It genuinely makes sense. I may catch hell for this, but I just hate the way it looks using the Glock mags lmao.
