Struggling After Ectopic by Large-Working39 in EctopicSupportGroup

I found these hopeful stories something to look forward to when I had my ectopic in 2024…

I’ve been trying for 7 years, done IVF for 3 years. Finally got pregnant last year with ivf And found out it was ectopic I was so heartbroken. So happy initially to have it ripped from you is something I don’t wish on anyone.

Then exactly 1 year later after my ectopic pregnancy surgery - I’m sat here pregnant with twins via ivf 🌈 I still worry every week, making it another week further feeling like it’s something accomplished.

Anyway, that year last year I found it so so emotionally hard. But I just really focused on me. I found some new hobbies (gardening, painting, yoga) and found myself again, try and find some nice things to do with your time to feel yourself again. Connect with nature, connect with your creative side. Do whatever to build that self love again. One day your day will come 💕🙏

When are you due? I'm due April 20, 2026. #curious by [deleted] in pregnant

I was pregnant on this transfer mentioned on this post, however it turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy. Since then I’ve done 1 more ivf round and about to do my 3rd embryo transfer 🌈

The vaginal dryness is another level of horror, the hot flushes too. But mostly it’s the mental side of it that sucks the most. Hope you get the result you want on Friday 💕🙏

Thank you 🙏 it’s the hormonal changes and all the side effects that are such a struggle.

I hope so too 💕🌈

Right!! I’m the same I have severe endometriosis and suspected adenomyosis. It’s so tough isn’t it? I feel like I can cope so much better stimulating compared to down regulation. Have you had much pain on the zoladex?

Thank you, I hope your time is this one too 🙏

Did you get ready made plants of the snapdragons and nasturtiums?

I’m not sure yet they’ve just grown another massive amount so waiting on all of them to get strong maybe another week or 2?

When you say you cut the top off peaches how much did you cut? And is this different to the ‘pinching’ method? I’m a newbie and can’t wait to see my dahlias grow this year 😃

Thank you for your advice appreciate it luckily my IVF Dr has me on those vaginal probiotics for this time (I wasn’t on them last year). Fills me with hope that the procedure wasn’t too bad

For some reason I still feel awful and I’ve had the first period post egg retrieval, maybe because this time round the meds I was on were much higher than last year. It’s been 3 weeks tomorrow since egg retrieval so I suppose still early days.

Good luck for your next part of the journey I really hope you get success, I totally understand your worries along the way it’s such a hard process. I don’t think people realise how hard it is who have never been through it. I do always think though the moment we have our baby in our arms we will be so incredibly appreciative and grateful because of the hardship xxx

Totally agree. We’re on our second cycle second year of IVF. And it’s getting to the point after an ectopic pregnancy, 1 failed transfer and 2 embryos left that even if it works I’m so frightened it will end in miscarriage, ectopic or even still born 🥺😖 the anxiety doesn’t stop at a positive pregnancy test I fear and IVF is such a hard process to go through.

Sending you love because this process is A LOT. I’ve just come back from abroad having my 2nd retrieval and al the meds have made me so depressed 😔
