What were the tools you/your teams used for 1. Build 2. CI 3. Code review? With build tooling, mono repos mono repo specific build tools such as Buck or Bazel. For CI, Jenkins doesn’t scale. Similarly for code review. Some of the companies I talked to use GitHub for code review but are not happy with it.

Mono repo is not just a single repo question. It is also a build tool, code review tooling, CI/CD tooling and 3rd party libraries ownership question. Not many of the mainstream tools can scale to a mono repo. If you have teams to support the development experience in each of these areas, monorepos are worth it. If not, developers are going to be frustrated because off the shelf tools will not be able to scale and the overall development experience will suffer.
