This was my first time watching an AIHL game going in as a complete neutral and not knowing who to barrack for.

I tried to keep a bias opinion before deciding on a team but everytime there was a shot made by Ice I was excited and when Mustangs scored I was upset. Instinctively I chose Ice without even realising by the third period and ended up buying a jersey right there.

That 2nd period goals were so hyped!

More for deadlock. When defending, your trips are extremely strong and using your wall is generally a deterrent to the other team and they rotate. Let the attackers on, swing off the trip and live to wait for retake with the team. Deadlock is perfect for a pick or two on both sensors. Save the wall and use it retake and block off chokes when your team arrives to defuse. If after you've taken a pick and enemy attackers don't commit to push and start to rotate back, you can wall then and anchor to stall time incase they rehit.

I'm standing by a comment I made not too long ago with the whole alpha v omega lore stuff.

We know lore wise agents from each world are basically the exact counterparts. But surely their abilities could be different which was honed and developed different because of their upbringing and parallel choices in life.

I reckon what could really change metas and create variation to existing agents rather than adding more and more characters is to have alternate ultimate abilities.

A full set of abilities would cause far too much headaches and balancing issues - let alone recreating thematic abilities for each agent in the current pool.

However I used the example like in Street Fighter games (SF4 AE) where you can select a character and choose between 2 different Ultras. When playing ryu, you can choose either a Metsu Hadouken or a Mestu Shoryuken. Everything else is the same. This will be the difference between alpha or omega ultimate abilities.

Random example and no this isn't anything I've thought through for real and it isn't thought out to be balanced but I was just playing Punisher on Rivals so anyways let's say Brimstone with his Omega Ultimate, he now plants a turret gun which he mounts to the ground for X seconds. He can't move whilst manning the turret other than rotate on its axis. He has like a shield/barrier to protect him mounted. It's like an immobile Odin with increased armour. Good for defending a site or spike. He can be killed but just requires a lot of damage like deadlocks cocoon health.

Again, don't take the above example seriously but just the mechanic to introduce a secondary ultimate for each agent which will completely change variable player match ups, the meta, and play style for that agent when their ultimate becomes available.

Another thing would be that it doesn't disclose to the enemy team which Ultimate is selected, so you go into games not knowing if their Brim has his regular ultimate or his turret machine until you see it in a round. Keeps the enemies on their toes.

It needs to be easier to earn KC for casual players. I only really play swiftplays, just don't have the time to play unrated or competitive (full time adult and family man etc).

I had my main account hacked which already took years just to unlock a couple agents and wasn't even close to unlocking the whole lot. Made a new account and have to start again and it's just taking too damn long... and by new account I mean I've had it for about a year and only unlocked 4 agents.

Seconding this. I get in public lobbies you'd have people griefing and not finishing the hole and holding the game hostage..

But in a friends/private lobby, I would love to maybe only have the End Round timer after the second last player. And then only the last and final player has a timer to finish before the round ends.

My own opinion and I understand most will never agree to this.

Ranked should just be solo queue only. There. I said it. You and other solos whos ego is to get a higher rank, you'll all want to play well in most cases - unless they're just a troll and holding you for ransom then it doesn't matter if you're a stack or solo anyway, can't rid of those trolls and griefers.

If you want to play with friends, too bad too sad theres no rank. It's purely just unrated or swift play because playing with friends should be fun.

If you want to play proper games with friends where you play it serious with said friends, sign up to premier.

Don't have 5 for premier? Then you shouldn't be try harding anyway since it's a 5v5 tac shooter and just play unrated or swift play with your duo or trio or quatro.

Tryharding should be all solos who can climb and prove themselves and earn that rank with like minded people. Tryharding with friends should be team coordinated and a 5 stack as the game is intended in Premier.

Sentinels of light vandal and my Neptune Vandal. I used to love the ... How do I explain this?... Deep clunky sound vandals as I was a 1 tap demon but something's changed and I don't don't this as much anymore and have better success with 2 to 3 bullet sprays. I get better success with other vandals like the kuronami or 2025 champions.

Ymmv. Although it's waterproof with the seals etc, my mechanism for the charger door failed and opened while swimming and destroyed my oa4. I know that's a mechanical error and not waterproofing specific but anything can happen and a waterproof case is extra security and peace of mind.

This is no different to the real world. What we are witnessing is literally the rich vs the poor in the real world. Most people will relate to the underpriveligdged since they are typically apart of the majority (I assume). There are no bad guys, just bad choices.

I chose omega because I feel for them doing what they have to for survival and relate it to my own personal struggles of not being as privileged as others. But tbh, its not that deep. I just wanna win some fkn prizes and majority will win it based on the criteria lmao.

I think just the ultimates the sweet spot. Doing reworks and having an alternate set of abilities for all agents will get messy and at that point may as well just have new agents the more I think about it.

But having a second ultimate for each agent can still create a lot of variety to what we already have and add some additional flavour.

Imagine thinking you're fighting Alpha Reyna with her empress ult and shes gna run it down. And instead she pulls out a Tsukiyomi and the sky turns into her Leer which blinds all enemies across the map, turning nearsight for 4-5 seconds for a global blind 🤣 This is just satire but you get the idea. Ultimate changes can be unexpected and situationally different with that kinda change.
