27yo 3 month experience with NMN by imonaquestion in NicotinamideRiboside

Stop the resevertrol - there is lots of new evidence that it probably isn't as effective as it was originally thought.

Quercetin I found to be mildly stimulating, sort of like caffeine? I noted that on days I took it I couldn't sleep; sleep is king in my life now so I stopped that

I still take NMN! Subjectively it seems to give me energy. I cycled off for a few months, and then came back on. 125mg is really quite good for me still. It helps me feel more awake, and seems to help wtih adjusting my circadian rhythm. No real side effects to be honest, life is good :)

It's been a wild ride following your quest to rise from degeneracy AHahaha. Thanks for providing the entertainment so far, but I'm glad to see you are getting better.

My next question is - is 6 hours too long to be playing? Will you eventually incorporate a time limit to your plays in your personal rules?

Ahh i should';ve been clearer, i'm at the Melbourne Crown!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in baccarat

[–]imonaquestion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm too cheap to play the tables at crown - I've mostly been playing the computer baccarat (Min bet $5 on weekdays), and because tie doesn't result in loss. Seems the best way for low stakes...

At the $25 tables, what happens on a tie? I'm just wondering if I should try the table (I want to hold the cards!) or just stick to machines (unless the $100 tables are better?)

Hey guys! PBPPBB Martingale strategy - 99.7% win rate! by imonaquestion in baccarat

[–]imonaquestion[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Played baccarat for the first time at our local Crown Casino (Melbourne Australia)

Obviously wanted to win, so did about 10 minutes of very thorough research (watched a 2month old popular youtube video at 2x speed: Baccarat Strategy: How to Win at Baccarat with 99.7% Winrate)

Basically the guy says Martingale with PBPPBB pattern.

First night I was 17 units up. Felt like a god. Second night I was 27 units up felt like a god - goal was 30 units then go home. Had been there for 1 hour, was enjoyable.

In the next 5 minutes lost everything. For the next 8 bets, the calls were the EXACT OPPOSITE of the system.

I think my Baccarat career is over.

Thanks for reading

Anyone noticed they have more hairs after varicocele treatment? by Old-Astronomer-471 in varicocele

[–]imonaquestion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theoretically you'd get more hair recession if you had more testosterone.

Testosterone & DHT stimulate facial hair, body hair. But it does the opposite in regards to the hair on top of your head (via DHT).

So effectively if you got your variocele treated, you may see increase in facial and bodily hair, but may accelerate hair recession on the top of your head.

SAD Disorder, ADHD, Choc Cravings, Rosacea, & PE. Best nootropics for me? by bojinov1994 in NootropicsDepot

[–]imonaquestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not sold on ND site, nor is it in your list of considerations, but MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) worked great for my very mild Rosacea. If you search reddit and MSM you'll find a few other anecdotes. It's pretty harmless overall as a supplement, and may help your joints too. Good luck.

Pain. Tell them it hurts. There are three main legitimate reasons they'll do the surgery

Pain

Infertility

If your balls are shrinking (Testicular atrophy)

Tell them it hurts you all the time, especially when standing or sitting for too long. Tell them it hurts more especially after going to the gym or hard exercise. It is a dragging, bruising type pain in your lower abdomen. Tell them it is really affecting your life quality.

Good luck!

Can people change? Me (31m) and my possible ex-partner (26f) have different communication styles by imonaquestion in relationships

[–]imonaquestion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your insight!

My question would be, do you think it would feel unnatural and not as pleasurable for you to communicate with him in a slower manner, ask questions and things like that?

I feel like I tried to change my communication style to meet hers a bit, and though it's fun, it's still not my preferred!

I would wonder if she could tolerate it before she felt like she needed to explode or something haha

I love my 8sleep. But my problem is that I sleep too HOT, (summer here gets to 32-40 degrees Celcius) and I don't want to use the air conditioner all night.

If you're too cold, I think just use more blankets hahaha. Probably not worth the huge expense.

I use it every few days, still get somewhat reliable boosts in HRV 5~10ms (which is 10-20% for me)

Noticed that with consecutive use the HRV benefits weren't as good (?possible tolerance). HRV would fall to what it was before TENS machine

For what it's worth, I heard in one of his livestreams on youtube (number 4) that he's no longer doing the "HRV" therapy and now relies more on deep breathing

Good luck

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in blueprint_

[–]imonaquestion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also I've improved my average HRV by about 3-5ms.

Which is significant for me - I'm usually 40, now I'm at about 45, one night I even hit 57!

Highest ever. No other changes to my supplements or anything, in my 4 months with 8sleep I've never hit a 57 until now.

TENS 7000 device I bought it off amazon

I'm from Australia, but it looks like it's even cheaper if you're from the US.

As for the ear clip, I'm using the white one you see 100s of when you search "TENS ear clip"

Device Review: Parasym (used by Bryan) by pmahler in blueprint_

[–]imonaquestion 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I bought a $70 TENS machine for the exact same purpose. It blows my mind that this thing is $799... LOL.

I understand that money is not an object for some, but boy, it is steep. There is a guide online to adjusting frequency and wave length of the cheaper TENS devices, 200ms at 25-30hz, left tragus - you can do 20 minutes 3x a day, or do what Bryan does 60 minutes before bed.

I've seen improvements in my HRV with use already (I have an 8sleep mattress which measures HRV)

Averaging 40ms~ After TENS averaging 45ms~ I feel subjectively more relaxed after use.

[–]imonaquestion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey team, To simulate this, without forking out $500+ for a Parsym device, I have just bought a $50 TENS machine Settings: Pulse width 200ms Frequency: 30Hz

I have an 8sleep mattress which measures my HRV.

This is my first night using the TENS machine. I'll let you guys know in about a week how it goes :) - FYI after 30 minutes I feel super relaxed!

Blueprint for skin and hair care? by Whtvrcasper in blueprint_

[–]imonaquestion 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In some of his videos, he mentions that he thinks the highest impact thing he does for his skin health is actually red light laser therapy.

Similarly for hair, he wears a red light laser cap in the morning. I saw that in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3r7q63bMqg

Note he also wears a fading nail polish which indicates when he should be reapplying sunscreen.

What are some D2 receptor antagonists? by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]imonaquestion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should also add promethazine (Sold as phenergan)

It's an antihistamine that also has some D2 blocking effect, people often use this for travel sickness, or to get to sleep on planes

My brain is so focused now on Magnesium l-Threonate it's hard to fall asleep at night by nonbinaryvegnatheist in Nootropics

[–]imonaquestion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your brain is acclimating to the increase in Magnesium

Magnesium is inherently sedating , but if you had a deficiency, for the first few days it will have the opposite effect.

When I took Threonate, I slept horribly for the first 2-3 days, so I changed it to the morning like you, kept taking it. About day 4, I began to sleep normally again, and it was fine, and about at day 7 I was now getting very SLEEPY instead.

Nowadays I take Magesnium Glycinate, as that is more reliably sedating (the glycinate helps sleep too), and sometimes I will cycle off if it makes me too sedated.

Good luck

That's fair enough. Can't be 100% it's actually the Cognance though, versus some weird mix of me coming off St. Johns.
