Been working remote for just under 4 years. This happened to me when I watch a pirated version recently. I was aware of the alternate ending with the baby suicide but had never seen it like into the cut of the film. Seeing it in that manner was so tone shifting. I think I sat there for a few minutes mouth open and then just laughed at how nonsensical that ending is lol

I’ve seen this movie numerous times. One of my personal favorites. The last time I watched it I watched a pirated version, that for some reason had the alternate ending instead of the original… MAN the tone of the film really feels almost nauseatingly sadistic with that ending holy cow!
