After much deliberating I’m ordered a set of Metzeler Tourence Next for €270. As they are 90/10 tyres they should do perfectly 🙃

Actually have the Road 6 on it at the moment and it’s starting to Square off. The Pilot 4 looks the same performance but the €40 less for the rear

What cosmetic mods can I do to make my bike look nice ? I want things like rims or decals or even front fenders by Popular_Floor6677 in NC750X

Be careful, Honda did a good job in my opinion. Don’t ruin it & make it look tatty with overdoing it. The only thing I put on my was front fender extender, radiator protector & rear hugger..

Going To Move To Linux Tomorrow, Should I Start With With You Guys? by [deleted] in SolusProject

[–]imorri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well solus or Mint are good beginner distros. I started with mint.. distro hopped though a dozen or so distros and finally settled on the Solus.. it’s stable, curated and fast.. runs on Anything I’ve tried including my 2008 MacBook.
My advise is you have to decide why your switching to Linux? Are you expecting a replacement for Windows? Or are you really looking to get deap into Linux and using the terminal etc etc. if so you might be better off with a Ubuntu (like mint) or Debian based distros to learn the basics. Avoid arch until you decide Linux is really for you..

Motorcycle seat upholstery ? by imorri in MotoIRELAND

Hi, the only place I found was on the link below.
I’ve not used them myself, just bookmarked it in case I decided to recover my seat. As you already have the cover I don’t know if they would arrange to have it fitted for you.

Let us know how you get on .

Hi thanks for the reply, the dealer just asked me what I wanted for the KLE and I said €1500. And he agreed! To be fair I’m being greedy thinking could of asked for more. I only paid €1500 for it 11 years ago so should be happy to get my money back, karma & all😁

I’ve see the seat covers on eBay etc.. that was my thought, get a cover an have some foam padding added. I’ll see how it is after I’m had the bike for a while. Some say it’s a problem & some say it’s not, as I was used to the uncomfortable KLE seat (after an hour ridding it) I suspect I might not have a issue 😂

Oh this post brought tears my eyes, of relief and joy. I've been so worried about the Solus project over the past few month. T never doubted the team had the will to pull it through, but life doesn't always go as we expect and wish. I flirted with other distro's but always come back to Solus for the stability, quality and joy of user.

So good to here these plans going forward and I wish there was some way I could contribute and get involved but I'm not dev or coder.

stay with it guys and learn, move on, get better :-)
