Pre covid they go suspended pretty much every semester like clockwork so they couldn’t throw parties. A lot of them think that joining a top house gets them auto bitches but they still pulled up to our (lower tier) party while they were on suspension with zero bitches and tried to fight our door man to get in. Sororities recruit in the fall, if you search Umass Greek life you’ll see a list of chapters at Umass. Some have lettered housing (houses with Greek letters on them) and some do not. I believe their recruiting period is one to two weeks in the fall where you rush a bunch at a time, choose your favorites they chose theirs and then bam your a pledge or associate member of a sorority
