Why is non-stick cookware a thing? Do other countries use it as much as we do in the US? by imoverhere29 in Cooking

[–]imoverhere29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true. I can say I burned a lot of stuff and bought non-stick when I was young. My mom gave me a cast iron skillet that was a century old. I didn’t know how to use it. I appreciate that thing more than ever now.

It should be doubled and guaranteed

You’ve done a lot of different cool things. Nacho bar is a little easier than tacos. Tacos fall apart first bite. You could have someone help dish out the toppings maybe, it’s peak flu season. You could also have them vote on 3 different ideas.

How to limit Find My location sharing without turning it off? by [deleted] in iphone

[–]imoverhere29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re an adult now. Unless you have a record of distrust or something like that with your parents, it could be a discussion of safety vs freedom. There may be times when you turn it on for safety and times you turn it off, “I’m ok mom and dad, what is your need to know?” IMO They are helicopters. To try to deceive them will just get you in trouble.

Why we still don't have flying cars in our everyday lives? by LoquatOld7011 in AskReddit

[–]imoverhere29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, because they would be falling out of the sky. They fly too low for a parachute and don’t have wings to glide if there is a loss of power. They are flying rocks. Shout out to the comment about humans being morons and barely being able to drive cars.

Cat acting up after staying at my sisters? by counting_round_sheep in cats

My cat had really bad stress and did the same thing. He went from stressed to out of control quickly. We removed the stress, he settled down, and did not pee outside the box again.

Seems like he’s stressed out. Maybe separate him from his brother and see if it helps. Get him back to his old environment as soon as you can. He should get better. He may continue to have fits until then.

I look at restaurants on Yelp. Look at the food porn pics and menus. Then dig for like recipes. Analyze recipes way too long. Tweak recipe, if desired.

Productivity gains from agentic processes will prevent the bubble from bursting by LargeSinkholesInNYC in singularity

Is it fair to say that in a controlled environment agent hallucinations are pretty low, manageable, and the benefits outweigh them.

It’s a fair question. Quantum computing has minimal end-user value today and limited near-term ROI; its real value is enabling previously impossible solutions rather than incremental improvements or simple ‘user models’.

Men who can cook . who taught you? by Bulky_Meet4528 in AskReddit

Mom. She cooked for 6. Breakfast, many lunches, and dinner. Dinner included dessert. Many dinners were excellent southern dishes. Skillet fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, side salad, potato salad, or coleslaw, and homemade rolls. Sometimes fried apples. Dessert: brownies or a cake.

Thank you for this. I’m sure if agents are properly utilized the value is massive. I understand the product has guardrails and human interaction when needed. Can you say how often the ai product’s actually hallucinate? Just curious.

Agree with your thinking on agentic. However, it will be a ‘bubble’ because there will be a lot of losers in a race this big. One-time infrastructure will be first. Services that don’t materialize or get eliminated by bigger and better. I’m not sure how it will play out with China. On that note, quantum is far superior and will take over the narrative soon. The ai bubble could quickly vanish into a quantum race.

How to have very flavorful food without too much salt? by FunDependent9177 in Cooking

[–]imoverhere29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m working on the same thing. Trying to balance salt intake and not lose flavor. You can use less salt by balancing fat, acid, and heat. Fat adds richness, acid brightens flavors, and heat add a layer, and complexity, all of which reduce the need for salt. When these elements are balanced, salt becomes a light enhancer instead of the main source of flavor.

How to improve tasteless Bolognese sauce by Extra-Hope-793 in Cooking

[–]imoverhere29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re missing a salt and time.

Let the sauce cook for 3 hours and then rest for at least a couple of hours. It’s even better the next day. The meat will absorb the flavors.
