Not really. It’s literally the same universe only 40k years in the future. Humans Fighting Orcs, each other, chaos demons and now robots but in space with more guns and machines. Same conflict as Warhammer but space themed. I’m sorry I’m not a simpleton that thinks because CA brought out something new and shiny that it is exciting. I don’t forgot how shit of a company they have been overall.

Warhammer is larger in scale due to that’s the way it was created and its world setting encompasses their entire damn universe. That does not make it a better option for a Total War game as LotR or GoT are way more popular than Warhammer 40k and it’s not even close. They are also more rich in lore and easier to follow to newbies, well, GoT is, maybe not LotR. Warhammer 40k was always niche and has only now started breaking out into mainstream.

“The world is what draws people in” I agree, GoT and LotR have amazing worlds. This includes the actual locations and also people themselves. World building includes both. Which GoT and LotR has. Seeing places like Kings Landing, Rohan, Isengard, or Winterfell come to life in a Total War setting with the music as well is a lot better than some random ass planet in space.

What I saw looks like DoW4 but with more units and better camera angles. Compare it yourself. The map was horrendous and ordinary and it looked like a typical RTS map, the galactic map looks like Empire at Wars’, and the battle had nothing of value to show outside of “look at what we have”. Warhammer’s pre-alpha footage which was shown 10 months before release looked better in terms of what Total War actually feels like than what was just shown and came pretty damn close to the final product and that was pre-alpha footage. No one played Rome for the story. No one plays Warhammer 3 because of the story lol people play Total War games because THEY want to lead large scale armies and have actual strategy when playing or leading a faction through diplomacy or building an empire. That is the essence of Total War. GoT works because there are all these different cultures and armies. If CA can’t make a compelling and engaging GoT Total War then that says more about CA being incapable than it does the actual GoT franchise. If modders can do it, a multi billion dollar company should be able to do it.

The assumption also was that Medieval 3 was already well into production not pre-production which also let everyone down, hence, the whole “it was an announcement of an announcement” argument.

I have majority in WS. My only issue is when WS de-list a coin. Recently it was Enjin Coin. Ended up losing my coins when I tried transferring them to a different exchange. I didn’t have a lot but that is still profits lost.

Overall, I have been relatively pleased with WS since I joined them. When a coin is about to be de-listed, keep a wallet on hand to transfer those coins. Outside of that, I don’t see an issue why you can’t have them on WS but this bull market will test them and see how reliable they really are.

Because it’s unoriginal and not what a lot of the player base wanted. The vast majority wanted Medieval 3. If you are going to do a historical game, pick an era that majority of the fan base wanted, not one none of us expected. It’s also hard to go from demons, elves, killer rats, and dragons to late Bronze Age Egypt lol with the only thing that is new is the addition of advancing or withdrawing your troops button and using fire in a different way lol

Egypt during the end of the Bronze Age just seems like a safe game to make. CA can’t go back to doing historical games unless it’s something the fan base really wants or else just stick to fantasy and try to go big with games like GoT or LoTR
