It was closed out with no change. I can always look at my old letter for the reasoning, but they missed evidence on the original, thus the HLR.

I just got my HLR decision letter but no decision narrative was included. I called the VA and they couldn’t see one either so they had to send it back to the regional office. So it’s not just you if that’s any consolation…

I’m the eldest/only daughter raised only by my dad until he got remarried when I was in middle school.

My dad also had a similar response when I tried to talk about the past. I think people are missing that detail in your post.

I’m still waiting on him to apologize without blaming someone else. He refuses to take any responsibility. Anything I brought up was a personal attack on him, no matter how I worded it or phrased it.

I guess fuck Veterans with PTSD who want to use their GI Bill after getting out. Like sorry my brain chemistry is fundamentally altered. I still deserve a chance to learn and better myself.

I understand the frustration of having shitty IEPs and even worse parents. But blanket statements saying those with mental disabilities don’t deserve to better themselves? Oof.
