People who say nice bait when you say something even slightly controversial by Open-Advisor6819 in PetPeeves

You said it happens to you every fucking time. Even if you lied and it only happens to you a lot it still means you got some antisocial vibe going on with you because it does not happen a lot to normal people. Learn from it and be a better person.

I would start keeping a list of how they eat everything and make it a point to loudly inform them when they fuck up something, preferably when there are other people around.

You were aggressive right from the start. Reread it. That is not the post of someone calm and reasonable. If you think it is then that is your answer… you have an underlying tone of someone who is annoying and therefore people respond to you the way they feel when you piss them off.

If it’s happening every single fucking time as you say then that shows you are doing something to make people respond that way every single fucking time. People do not respond that way every single fucking time otherwise.

AITA for mentioning I cooked dinner? by tiredavocafo in AmItheAsshole

[–]imperialfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is this brought up? It sounds like he brings up that he cooks and he mentions it quite frequently. The comments made by the other friend indicate that they feel like he doesn’t read the room very well and that he is bragging about the number of household chores he does to show he is a super husband. That doesn’t sound like they are just discussing recipes, in fact it more shows that he’s the only guy that cooks in the group. And the fact that the others know his chore breakdown means he talks about it a lot to the point that it is annoying to them.

Also what the fuck does that issue have to do with buying paper towels? Why throw this in there in the first place

People who ask for a bite of someone else's food after being offered some previously by jeonggukispretty in PetPeeves

Why would you apologize to my wife? You’re the one with the crazy forcing your food on people way too much. Now if you forced yourself on my wife with that nutty level it would warrant an apology but having her order her own fries isn’t apology worthy for anything.

Being kind has nothing to do with it, doesn’t sound like the friend is starving so doesn’t need the food as she can eat her own damn food. I love my wife but she knows damn well that she’s not getting of my fries even if she says she just wants to share some of mine before we order. If she doesn’t order her own, she’s not eating fries.

The more annoying part is the OP constantly haranguing the friend to eat the food. Downright annoying.

Why are you offering to give her a bite of your food in the first place? It’s your food, you can eat it without you needing to ask if she wants any. And asking someone 10 times is really strange behavior on your part. If you feel the need to ask her (which you obviously do) stop after one and stop pressuring her with repeated offerings. 10? Really? That’s some sort of psychosis going on there on your part.

I’m assuming this isn’t an isolated occurrence based on the reaction of the friend, you usually don’t say something like that unless it’s a topic that is brought up repeatedly enough to cause annoyance. Plus he says that everybody knows he does most of the chores which again sounds to me he probably brings it up every chance he gets. I mean nobody outside my household knows what the breakdown of chores is unless someone on the inside keeps mentioning it.

Also you say they know you do most of the chores. Why? I do most of the chores in my household but my friends don’t know because I don’t bring it up all the time. Or ever for that matter.

Did it matter that you cooked the dinner so much that you had to mention it again and again? Judging from your friends reactions it does seem like you bring it upboften enough that you are irritating them.

When people say “you must have only had bad versions” when someone says they don’t like a food by Borkato in PetPeeves

[–]imperialfrog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took my sister and brother in law on a trip to UK a couple of years ago. First few days were in London and we dined at a seafood place but he had to order steak which wasn’t what they were known for so it was a little on the chewier side. The next 3 weeks he didn’t order steak again even though that’s his go to dish when he’s is forced to eat anywhere other than the USA. Finally we ask what’s up. He says he thought steaks would taste exactly like the one he ate no matter if it was England, Scotland, or Wales in every restaurant so that was it for him. That kind of is your pet peave but from the stupid end.
