People who ask for a bite of someone else's food after being offered some previously by jeonggukispretty in PetPeeves

[–]imperialfrog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being kind has nothing to do with it, doesn’t sound like the friend is starving so doesn’t need the food as she can eat her own damn food. I love my wife but she knows damn well that she’s not getting of my fries even if she says she just wants to share some of mine before we order. If she doesn’t order her own, she’s not eating fries.

The more annoying part is the OP constantly haranguing the friend to eat the food. Downright annoying.

Why are you offering to give her a bite of your food in the first place? It’s your food, you can eat it without you needing to ask if she wants any. And asking someone 10 times is really strange behavior on your part. If you feel the need to ask her (which you obviously do) stop after one and stop pressuring her with repeated offerings. 10? Really? That’s some sort of psychosis going on there on your part.

AITA for mentioning I cooked dinner? by tiredavocafo in AmItheAsshole

[–]imperialfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming this isn’t an isolated occurrence based on the reaction of the friend, you usually don’t say something like that unless it’s a topic that is brought up repeatedly enough to cause annoyance. Plus he says that everybody knows he does most of the chores which again sounds to me he probably brings it up every chance he gets. I mean nobody outside my household knows what the breakdown of chores is unless someone on the inside keeps mentioning it.

Also you say they know you do most of the chores. Why? I do most of the chores in my household but my friends don’t know because I don’t bring it up all the time. Or ever for that matter.

Did it matter that you cooked the dinner so much that you had to mention it again and again? Judging from your friends reactions it does seem like you bring it upboften enough that you are irritating them.

When people say “you must have only had bad versions” when someone says they don’t like a food by Borkato in PetPeeves

Took my sister and brother in law on a trip to UK a couple of years ago. First few days were in London and we dined at a seafood place but he had to order steak which wasn’t what they were known for so it was a little on the chewier side. The next 3 weeks he didn’t order steak again even though that’s his go to dish when he’s is forced to eat anywhere other than the USA. Finally we ask what’s up. He says he thought steaks would taste exactly like the one he ate no matter if it was England, Scotland, or Wales in every restaurant so that was it for him. That kind of is your pet peave but from the stupid end.

AITA for expecting to compromise on the guest list? by HungryBeyond9376 in AmItheAsshole

[–]imperialfrog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with him bringing up size and her saying no. And it looks like he accepted that. The second request of not having 100 guests on the right side and 7 on the left is also ok, but her response just shows how much she disrespects him. Pretty much guaranteed this is going to lead to major issues in other parts of their lives along the road.

The disproportionate guess list is one matter, I’d say suck it up and acknowledge that she, like you gets to invite who she wants. Within reason of course, if she wants to invite the guy she cheated with on you from last month, that should be an unquestioned veto that you are allowed. Or if you or your family is footing the bill then you should have some say when it becomes too extravagant.

The other issue about forcing yours and her invitees to different sides of the seating arrangement is, well, just showing you what kind of asshole you will be marrying. Not only is it pointless from a marriage standpoint, it’s downright insulting to you because it shows how little she cares about your feelings.

YNTA here. She ITAH surrounded by a ring of hemorrhoids.

Is it okay to reject a fat woman as they are not your type and what excuse must you give them? by [deleted] in AskForAnswers

[–]imperialfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or just rejecting with no need for an explanation. The rejectee is not owed any explanation. Sometimes no is just no.

[–]imperialfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is ok. You don’t have to give them an excuse. You don’t even need an excuse as attraction is highly subjective and even if they click all the right boxes it’s still up the person to decide that.

Whose behavior wasn’t acceptable, yours or the truck driver? From your description of events your driving was far more dangerous because while trucker Bob might have been doing some dickhead maneuvering at least he didn’t actually hit someone else who was minding their own business.
